Maxson Goh Films a showcase of the Runcorn Busway, the world's first Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system when it opened in 1971.
Located in England, UK, this busway system compromises mainly of dedicated bus only roads, with the highlight being several elevated sections that provide direct access to Runcorn Shopping City.. if you want to go there..

Amazing to say that the town of Runcorn was the first in the world to invent BRT in 1971.

@@glitchFan2428 The MP travel X1 literally got withdrawn and the company entirely ceased to exist, because of multiple cases of buses getting damaged or smashed on the busway.

Those buses with the giant pods are CNG powered MAN A22/A69 buses with Caeteno City Gold bodywork.

This busway is basically like the LRT in Singapore, which maybe could actually work better than the LRT since special train cars and rails are not needed, cutting down on maintenance and operation costs. as well as beating the traffic below.

Only difference is the lrt is local to the area, while the buses on this busway offer a seamless connection to the surrounding areas

That is, until they shut the upper levels of the carpark :( The rest of the busway has some nice angles too but nothing beats the elevated section imo

Dedicated elevated roads or tracks are wasted spaces; should be all painted lane for bus, taxis and emergency vehicle only. Bus or BRT are cheaper to implement than trams. However, noise and vibration is tiring, should design a bus with better suspension, gas-electric or safe battery busess. Keep the drivers jobs!

If dedicating roads absolutely to buses, then why not use trams. Trams actually have higher capacity, if you look inside buses, you will see stickers noting how many passengers they are licensed to carry. You won't see that inside trams, they are just limited by how many people will fit. Trams can also used alternatives to street running (like ballasted track and grassed track) that road vehicles (which buses are) cannot use.
