Sound expensive (and is) but compared to Escalade-V this has more power, torque and range for less money.

I love it, the price is hard to swallow, but its expected for what you are getting. That must be a 250kwh battery. I wonder if it included adjustable air suspension. I got to say I am impressed how GM has managed to take the Hummer EV platform and adapted it to a few vehicles now.

I didn't see here, but are there any physical knobs for the simple things you need? Radio volume, fan, seat heater, cruise control tuning, etc?

@@craigcole5497 Well, poopie! I guess I will never understand why OEM's keep believing that making simple functions more complex, is a good idea. I 'get' that putting a screen in there is cheaper than running multiple wires and switches around the vehicle, but what happens when there's a dead spot on the screen? And I'm sure that has happened. Now you have to buy a new screen for large dollars - and it's something that in time they will discontinue. It's hard to imagine the likelihood of any of these new technical marvels being marginally functional as a vintage car. And operationally, it just feels like the old days of PC's vs Macs. When you needed something done on a Mac, you just did it. It just happened. But doing the same thing with a PC came with a smug comment from your PC-fan friend. "Oh, ya, it can do that. All's you godda do is......." 🙄 And then a rambling explanation would go on for 4 steps more than it should. LOL!! Oh well. I'll step off my soapbox now. But I'll do it carefully. At my age, I wouldn't want to step wrong and put my back out. Now get off my lawn! LOL!!

All GM needs to figure out now is how to produce it. Seems like all their Ultium vehicles are floundering out of the gate.

This is the real issue. Unfortunately, I think it's safe to say GM's Ultium launch has, to date, been a disaster. - Craig
@G-Rated
@G-Rated 6 ай бұрын
@@craigcole5497i think that’s just the way their naysayers & *haters* would like to remember Ultium. The reality is _Ultium_ has been such a success, it even got *gm’s* competitors like Honda onboard wanting their very own EVs to be built upon the same platform as *gm* fully electric offerings. And Honda could’ve went to anyone! But y’all don’t ever discuss _this._ Lol. Unlike Stellantis and Ford concepts, the Hummer EV twins (and ALL Ultium products) have come to production exactly as they were revealed in pre-production form and even beat the Tesla Cybertruck to market by 2+ years. The Silverado EV and Cadillac Escalade _IQ_ are now the benchmarks of their segments, boasting 450 miles of range and up to 350 kWh charging speeds. But we’re supposed to believe their launch is disastrous? *gm* has already figured out how to produce EVs, they’re waiting on battery plants to go online to go into full production. Again, unlike Ford or Tesla, their EVs are built upon their bespoke EV platform not shared with *gm’s* gasoline models to save money.

@@CMCNestT Well if you can get even 400 mi range charging should be once a week or more. I wouldn't expect too many people to be using this as a daily driver. I certainly wouldn't. On the other hand, if its used to tow a boat, then expect to divide the range by 2.

Those seat screens are like 5 inches thick…looks ridiculous and the Newton meters signature on the back is just dumb… GM stop chasing after the Germans and keep our vehicle strictly American. And waaay overpriced for a company that has a horrible reputation of resale value and quality after 5 years of ownership. And let’s not be to talk about the delays this car will have….i still can not get a Cadillac Lyric….so I’m going with the Lexus LX

You sound so confused. It’s not a brand worthy of asking the prices they’re asking for this model because of a LM alleged reputation of horrible resale value and quality, yet you’re trying to buy one? MAKE THAT MAKE SENSE. Let’s be honest with ourselves here, you’re going with a Lexus LX solely because it’s less money and ONLY because of a reputation for “good resale value”. Can you show me in the market where 2021 Lexus LX are holding their resale value substantially better than 2021 Escalades? I literally see 2022 LX 600 Premiums which go for over $100k easily brand new currently listed for $89k today. Lost over $10,000 in value in less than 24 months, they aren’t much better at all. Reputation keeps them afloat. It’s called Japanese propaganda, and it’s ALL in your heads, boys. 🤦🏽‍♂️
