I have a CTL33 which is about 16 years old. It is as good to day as the day I bought it, and in those sixteen years only one thing failed...the socket for the auto switch became intermittent in operation. I sent a repair request at 1am on a Friday night...the extractor was collected next day and returned fully repaired on Wednesday morning for the princely sum of £69.00 UK. I'm sure you get excellent service from Festool USA, but I can vouch for the repair and service systems in the U.K. being second to none....you get what you pay for!👍

OMG. The "born on" date of my CT-22 is 2001. I've been using this beautiful machine for 23 years and didn't know how easy it was to separate the head from the tank until today. I hope it never dies, because I prefer the design to the newer ones where you have to completely remove the head (and do something with it) to change bags. But sometimes you need to do a deep clean on the tank and before today that was awkward with the head attached. THANK YOU SEDGE!

I have a CT-22 that I bought in 2005. It has countless hours of use on it, but still functions at 100%. I purchased a CT-26 when I needed Bluetooth connectivity to my cordless track saw batteries but the CT-22 remains in daily use as my dedicated Kapex saw. I fully expect both extractors to provide reliable service for years to come.

My CT22 was part of my first Festool purchase in 2004 with the RO150 so that makes it 20 years old. Both are still going strong. If I recall correctly, HEPA filters did not come standard in that year but when they came available, Festool provided HEPA filters to owners who needed them at no cost. Awesome customer focus and service. Thanks Sedge. Steve

I've had mine for over 15 years, and it's great. Had no idea you could remove the top completely. Got it when I bought my ETS 150/3 sander. What a great buy.

I just picked up one of these today for a bargain price on FB marketplace. Spent the afternoon cleaning it up. I’ll get a brand new pair of HEPA filters for it and hoping I’ll get a few years out of it.

I have both the CT22 (since 1999) and CT33, a few years later (which was part of the air sander kit). Both were upgraded to HEPA filters. I used the external, air blow port to connect to my shop dust collector when doing fine sanding, which eliminated all of the dust, blowing out the particles that got through the HEPA filter into the larger dust collector, which is vented outside. Both are still going strong and are great machines. I have upgraded my original TS55, Jigsaw, and drill setup, but kept the CTs, as there was no real advantage to upgrading them… 😂 Cheers

All jokes aside, these, apart from fragile plastics near the wheels and when repairing at screw points, had some serious robust motors that lasted a looooong time.

I have the newer CT MIDI. I wish it had some of these features such as a flip top or the hose port on the front.

you could just use a shop vac to empty it! 😂 I was wondering how people were using their dust extractors for blowing air! unfortunately I have the one that doesn't have that port 😢

Just don’t let your ct see daylight or it will turn to dust. Mine was so brittle it would crack and shatter at the slightest impact.
