Kenny is one of the biggest selling singers of all time, and had a LONG career, with The New Christy Minstrels in the mid 60s to First Edition from the late 60s into the mid 70s and as a solo artist from the mid 70s all the way to his passing last year. His signature song is The Gambler.

Absolutely one of the finest voices ever. Love his match up with Home Free, Children Go Where I Send Thee. The Gambler, Ruby Don't Take Your Love to Town. So many great songs.

Great reaction! Lionel Ritchie wrote this song for Kenny. I think this was his first live performance of "Lady". The song had only been out for about 10 days when he did this concert! Kenny's voice is unmistakable just like Lionel's, Michael McDonald's, Elvis's, Michael Jackson & my favorite, John Farnham! It was also a "hit" for Lionel later too. Beautiful song & beautiful voice!

❤the first time I heard this song 🎵 I was driving and I had to pull over. Kenny Roger's has a way of calming you down, his.voice is just what you need to ease your mind so you can sleep at night.

There's that look that a singer gets when they know that they mailed a performance. Kenny Rogers had it at the end of that and so did Bobby Hatfield at the end of Unchained Melody. And then there's a look a singer gives right before a performance that says "You're not ready for the ride I'm about to take you on right now". Freddy Mercury had that at the beginning of "Someone to Love". He looks at the camera for that split second and he knows.

Kenny was the first to record and release it, but it was written by Lionel Ritchie who also released his own version later. Kenny's was a massive hit.
