Normally, in some Asian countries when a woman wears your glasses, puts your phone in her pocket or "claims" something of yours, that automatically means she's into you. I've traveled Asia for many years and that's always been the way things have been.

A simple journey to the barbershop was very insightful to me. The young lady with the one piece with the low cut jeans, your friend with the weed tattoo, rap or pop music playing in the barbershop, has a pick handy mainly used for black hair. never realized how progressive it is there.

I think that there is something there. You and her get along quite well. She is very pretty! especially the eyes I am impressed with your ability to speak Chinese. I can only speak English, and I actually had problems with learning to speak in early childhood. I am a neurodivergent with Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, ADHD.

In my experience, the flirting is about getting the customer to keep coming back. That's common is many places all over, not just China - hair salons, nail salons, clothing stores, electronics stores, clubs, bars, everywhere a service is given that allows flirting. It's harmless, except for some massage places - then it's for some other more immediate reason associated with $$$. Enjoy it and just don't fall for it as being anything other than flattery to keep customers or get new ones. Ask one out and might get a yes, but that's followed by nothing but excuses as to why she never finds time to actually go. And the flirting will continue regardless. You have a better chance if she isn't flirting but takes her time doing the job compared to her other customers, or comes back and asks "how is everything" or offers assistance a little more often than normal. Then she's making herself available to be asked out.

First off, she did a good job with your haircut and she a baddie too. Secondly, you slacked again bro...she was definitely giving you all the cues to ask her out. Though I gotta give it to you when you asked her how to say beautiful (that was exactly what I was thinking too when she told you the meaning of the word she called you), but you should have followed up on that right there. Ans say some cheesy line like, well, if you're beautiful and I'm handsome then we should go out sometime...give me your number. Of course, she'll laugh and probably say something to the fact that you're friends.
