Dead of the Night is a highly controversial zombie map. There are many part pieces and side quests. But it has one of the best atmospheres and main quests in modern zombies, in my opinion. But, it doesn't always get the praise it deserves. Why is that? What do you think of Dead of the Night?

Doughnuts has been making stuff like this for years and was around for a long time than before MWZ . He has just been concentrating on MWZ as it is the latest and also has attracted alot of new types of zombie players. This is good for the MWZ players who don;t really know about the rich world of Zombies from before MWZ. He adapted when MWZ happened :)

I've been playing COD zombies since WaW and the idea of a "real" zombies player, is complete BS. Stop trying to gate-keep the already niche 3rd mode. The more people that we can get to support and enjoy zombies the better it is for everyone.

@@justinholtman agreed. A near perfect map. But, there were so many great maps. Blood of the Dead was great!!! Dead of the night, Ancient Evil, Voyage of Despair. All amazingly good.

I love this video and although not really aimed at me (as I have 100's of hours in BO4 zombies) I think a lot of people will get something out of this. I slightly disagree about why this map got hate but I still love playing it. It is very unique in its flavour . For me it was down to three things that gave it a bad start. The first was the way it was dropped with no marketing and with a really strange opening start to the intro ( it should have been more like the 2 chaos maps on the disc). Then the vampyres got a lot of hate because in the first few weeks of the map they could almost one tap you like the tigets used to in IX. Also with the blood loss mechanic people just really hated on them. They adjusted them and now they are just annoying more than anything else. Lastly I think it is not liked as it is a bit of a collectorthon, 9 places to look for the bits of silver , 9 places for all the shield parts, 9 places for the smithing table...and thats not without going into the traps and alot of the things needed for the EE. Once you know them it isnt an issue but I can see why people get feed of the long set up needed for this map. Great video. Keep up the good work .

BO4 was so underrated for zombies I used to mainly play voyage of despair managed to get to round 50 a few times such great fun for levelling it all up

You can tell Doughnuts is a true zombie player. I was never a "gamer" but i loved running around shooting zombies. I could play round based for hours solo but i didn't know there were easter eggs. 😂 I learned how to turn the power on in a couple maps and open the sewers and shoot the zeppelin and move the batteries and stuff. But this kind of stuff? Forget about it. 😂

Easter eggs are another level but learning how to craft wonder weapons, shield and all the set ups is easier than it sounds, I haven’t played dead of the night in well over a year or any bo4 maps for that matter as I’m addicted to Cold War now 😹 but I guarantee I could remember how to fully upgrade the wonder weapons and obtain them, open pack a punch ect. It just stays imprinted in your brain once you’ve done it a few times.

Dead of the Night is great map and is a casual map to play High Rounds. Alot of people's Perception of the is map is wrong. WHEN YOU EXCLUDE the easter egg, at its Core when you play Dead of the Night it's actually a very casual map. The reputation that this map is always million steps is wrong. It's very true the Easter egg can be a pain thats where the Perception stems from but if you dont know the steps but when you remember everything it's super fun.

This map looks awesome, so I looked up which CoD it was on, but unfortunately it's on BO4, one of the few I haven't gotten yet. Just got infinite warfare (loving it so far), advanced warfare, and vanguard. Was disappointed in AW and Vanguard, AW more than any of them. Definitely moving this to my game purchase for this month!

This map was fun, all the BO4 maps were fun. I never beat this Easter egg solo it was difficult. But I like that and I hope BO6 will have Easter eggs that are complex but maybe not as difficult as BO4 Easter eggs were.

Excellent map atmosphere and enemies. But a bad playable area. Terrible EE "steps", or item part hoarding. I love this map and hate it at the same time.

You don't need to bash the zombie with the shield, you can also shoot it with the shield to get the orb to drop..

DOTN is a fantastic map. And it’s easily in top 10 best maps. BO4 gets WAYYYY too much hate. It was fantastic. Literally the reason why zombies is so bland and boring now is because of all the hate this game got. Hate that was unnecessary and unwarranted.
