Short answer: I like the limitations. Long Answer: Part of Snake-Eyes strength was the fact each of their 1-1.5 card starters didn't conflict with each other so they could just open full combo through 2-3 Hand Traps or just power through establish boards a good chunck of the time. Here it gives them a meaningful soft spot to Hand traps. Previously you already played 5 Copies of SE Ash, 5 Copies of Diabellestar, then both Poplar and Diabellestar fetch OSS and serve as material for it. You were never short on access to SE Ash and other names, but now with less access to specifically the "Normal Summon Snake-Eyes Ash" the deck has to be more thoughtful using cards that are affected by Ash Blossom and Droll. I wish there was a Limitation to Flamberge so the deck didn't have insulation to Nib for 100% free, but hey what we got here is a big step in the right direction.

The limitation of SE ash and wanted really did not hurt at all Rescue-ACE / snake-eye varriant. Asside that pure snake-eye have a lot of 1 card combo that guarantee can get SE Ash. With both limitations pure SE still have roughly 12 to 15 1/ 1.5 card combo, including one for one, lullaby of obedient, where arf thou and etc. King calamity ban is well deserved. Next mth is WCQ duelist cup event. Konami really don want player play degenerate strategy by doing calamity lock, especially super heavy Samurai and mannadium easily special summon king calamity under spright elf arrow for free win.

limitting SE ash to one copy slows down its grind game down. It is still one of the best deck no doubt, but I rather want old deck to come back. Like nimble to three, terraforming to one, and Purrely to three.

It's a good step in the right direction, as far as cards coming off i'd really like to see the cards that Konami has forgotten about going to unlimited, yata garasu because that card sucks also time seal, butterfly dagger Elma and divine sword phoenix blade aren't good ok phoenix blade is good in warrior turbo decks but who cares it was never the problem with Isolde decks. You could also add the jars.

Elma has an infinite loop. It can't come off. Unless you want to ban all the gearfried cards.

@@SnowiKs I don't play traditional so I don't know the current combos but if it's anything like gearfried the iron knight, royal magical library and elma that seems like a inconsistent ftk that probably loses to any 1 hand trap and spell economics just seems bad in master duel. But maybe there is something better?

@@rafflesiaandfriends yeah, that's basically it, but now image other loops with a free discard, or free recurring spell. This would just be another bad FTK enabler like Calamity or Smoke Grenade. Is it going to be abused? Absolutely! Will it be consistent? Well... Isolde exists, so maybe, but not likely. The better question is, why should it come back. No one remembers that card from the anime. No one enjoyed when it was legal. No one is currently missing it. It can stay banned until it gets a once per turn or other errata.

Elma should stay banned as a safety ban. It's one of those cards that are a bit too dangerous to come off. Phoenix Blade also being infinite fodder is definitely a liability as well

@@DaemonRayge yeah probably true although it's not like there aren't other ftk/ infinite loops that are legal that probably wont be hit because either no one is playing them or they are very fragile/ inconsistent.
