Roy Orbison had one of the most smooth powerful voices. He could sing real high falsetto & also low. Elvis Presley loved Roy's voice. Roy was known for performing while standing motionless & wearing black clothes to match his dyed black hair & dark sunglasses. Roy had lots of hits in the 60's such as "Only the Lonely", "Running Scared", "Crying", "In Dreams", "Love Hurts", "Blue Bayou" etc. In 1988, he co-founded the rock supergroup "Traveling Wilburys" with George Harrison, Bob Dylan, Tom Petty, & Jeff Lynne. They had a lot of great songs such as "Handle With Care", "End Of The Line" etc.

Elvis Presley said Roy Orbison had the ‘most perfect voice’ and referred to Roy as the best singer in the world. Roy Orbison had tragedy plague his life. His wife Claudette was killed in a motorcycle accident, and his two eldest children died in a house fire. My favourite Roy Orbison songs: Pretty Woman (which you just reacted to), You Got It, Only the Lonely (Know the Way I Feel), I Drove All Night, In Dreams, Dream Baby (How Long Must I Dream), Claudette, Ooby Dooby, Blue Angel, Love Hurts, Crying, Running Scared, Lana, Uptown, Candy Man, She’s a Mystery to Me, California Blue, Working for the Man, Leah, Mean Woman Blues, Falling, Pretty Paper, Blue Bayou, It’s Over, Communication Breakdown, Penny Arcade, (Say) You’re My Girl and End of the Line which he recorded with the Traveling Wilburys.

Roy wrote “Blue Bayou” in 1963 that Linda Ronstadt made famous in the 70s and has been played forever. Who could not love Roy Orbison or “Pretty Woman?” Roy was signed by Sun Records when Elvis and Johnny Cash left for other labels. Sun had Jerry Lee Lewis and Roy Orbison to continue the best music content along with Sam Cooke until the Beatles popped onto the scene. Then came The Four Seasons

Funny you mention those, because there were also movies using those titles. A lot of movies starting in 80s would use titles of popular songs because they were already in public consciousness. Therefore they were effective way of advertising if people automatically knew the song and it could be used in commercials or in movie soundtrack.
