This model was made in Woodbridge Virginia at one of the two original games workshop stores in the USA. The Woodbridge Virginia store had a machine in the back room (don’t know what they are called) to make metal models for just about any mold from 1992ish to 2002ish. My daughter is currently painting the necromunda gang I had made there 30 years ago.

That's beyond based and Ork-pilled. Typical of GDubbs to screw up something like this.

Spin casting machine, don't know if it has a fancier name but they set one up behind some glass at one of the games days and it was absolutely huge

I've gotten a good laugh out of all of the theories of where this model came from, but this figure was made and packed at the Benson Avenue location in Glen Burnie, MD, exactly as indicated on the blister card. I have no idea where the information "it closed in 1984" comes from, but we were very much casting and packing metal figures at the Glen Burnie location until the early 2000s. I worked there! From that same era, if you remember "Ask Dirty Steve" from White Dwarf in the US version, he was there with me at the time (and we were roommates!), and he only ever worked at the Glen Burnie studio (aside from his stint in retail). Our fantasy campaign and our armies were featured in the US version of White Dwarf 206!

I miss the Battle Bunkers. I used to frequent the Chicago one. Got to sit next to one of the Slayer Sword winners a few times while we worked on figures.

I remember a couple of old Night Goblins from "back in the day." One was mooning the foe, and the other was flipping them the bird. They are rather hard to come by now - kinda wish I hung on to mine.

Something that strikes me more with each new video is how you really love the world of fantasy. There's no pretence here just raw passion for fantasy. A passion I share, so I'm aware how it feels to be someone with a lifelong love of fiction, and am readily immersed in a fantasy setting without need for convincing haha. Thanks again for the great video.

I love the Vallejo Metal Color range. You can brush it straight on so long as you don't dunk your brush. If you do take too much, a quick touch to some kitchen roll will wick away enough so it'll go on super silky and not flow away like crazy.

@@jakerubino3233 cool story, but given that Jay openly admits that he purposely calls the Star Wars prequels the best Star Wars movies because he knows it triggers the fans seems the more relevant fact here. The fact he goes out of his way to keep bringing up the model name seems further indication that’s he’s very aware that it would generate comments. Remember: negative comments and dislikes get paid the same as positive ones. Trolling people makes just as much money, if not more so, than not doing so.

I like the idea of picking two random greens, especially since your technical routine includes mixing your own shades on the palette everytime and basecoating, washing, highlighting in layers with smooth transitions creating countless numbers of hues anyway.. :D

Love your work on the runtherdz, and zodgrod theory. I think the old Ork shook attack gun Would be a good project and look great in your army - you also need a Runtherdz to field one in the old rules. Keep the good stuff coming!

I had quite a few pre slotta citadel orcs back in the 80s, they had a typically more fantasy look about them back then, the 1987 variant is when citadel miniatures became more cartoon like, which as a kid back then, I lapped that shit up, they were goofy and silly and as a 13 year old, that's what you wanted!
