It's not meant for lapsed/returning players that is what jagex promotes it as but nothing sugests that it is primarily for them: 1) New economy is fucking terrible for new players you can make ton of money on f2p accounts that you can't on fsw because economy just started. 2) Faster leveling is sort of good for new players except jagex made it into 2 month race for fomo items so all the normal training spots are packed. 3) New/lapsed players don't know what happened in x-years of content that is obvious to others who played in last 5 years for example. I literally met a person who stopped playing before GE was introduced and they were blown away by how much has changed and how much more stuff is in the game. Like just a things like toolbelt and mining/smithing rework were a shock for them "you mean I don't need to wear my tools in inventory?". This game mode probably originally was meant for those players but it changed into "How do we increase player numbers before end of the year while also increase price of bonds before release of a new premier club so people spend hard cash instead."

@@GRIMHOOD99 The new economy is the same for everyone. With all the boons(free gear, free limited infinite food,chance to save ammo,etc), up to 2.5x xp and up to 4 months of time you'll be fine if it interests you. Perfect for anyone. Meant to give players a head start, don't need to max or anything. Can easily get base 70 stats in 4 months.

@@GRIMHOOD99 i’m a returning player, haven’t played for over 10 years. First thing that happened when i got in The GE was a high level dude giving me a lots of advice and some bones for prayer. 2 days later i’m now combat level 113, 99 mage with 2M in the bank and all other combat stats between 70-90, also got 43 questpoints. Day 1? Didn’t have a clue what was happening. Day 6? Look at what i achieved just by having veterans help me out and guiding me in the right direction.

I don't understand why you wouldn't want RS3 to make money - could you elaborate on why this cash grab is a bad idea for the company and community? @A Student

@@brandonsebastian8041 yeah it's great they are making money but when they imply a competitive game mode and people can just buy thier way up just feel unethical.

@@link560633 I completely get you - Being competitive in most games is natural though. And i do agree with the unethical part about buying your way to the top - but that's the individual decision of the player. I don't judge anybody who has paid their way to the top its the path they wanted to choose. Plus they might not have time like they used to or find that skill boring and not worth the grind.

How about FSW, Forinthry forest to be burned downed, RNG (hurray for that one huh?) or like 90% of the bloody content in the game? I have no issues with Jagex making money, I mean otherwise the game would die, right? What I do however have an issue with (more like many) is the fact that Jagex hardly ever f*cking listen to their customers. And mind you that this hasn't just happened once. Jagex is unarguably one of (if not the) most despised gaming company in the world. Yes, more so than even Blizzard. There are entire bloody compilations of Jagex just failing on repeat; Going back on their word; And in general just not being a company worth respecting or giving one's money to.

@@h.plovecraft6691 You do realize that not all rsvps are like that, right? There very much has been (and likely still are) rsvps where you actually have to train in order to get good. Hell some even used to have hiscores. Now, the ones that you're probably thinking about, are the PK'ing ones. Howbeit I'm talking about the ACTUAL private servers that had (and hopefully still has) soul and heart; annual easter, halloween, and christmas events; plenty quests; long but worthwhile grinds in terms of skilling and bossing; and actual customer support. FSW very much is an rsvp/ripoff, in that it has faster xp rates, custom items (such as the inverted skilcapes) and buffs along the way.

@@h.plovecraft6691 I just looked it up on TopG, and not only are there still rsvps/rsps's (lot of S's) but there are even ones that seems to entirely cater to the players. Achievements, player reward voting polls, weekly events you-name-it. To think that there are such small business if indeed they're making any money at all on this-striving and fighting to give their customers what they want, simply because the big companies refuses to. It's a sad world indeed.
