It's Year 4 of the Madden 24 Saints Franchise. After two tough seasons forcing us into a rebuild, we're hoping to emerge as a playoff contender once again. With a new Quarterback and exciting offensive additions, could the pieces be in place for the Saints to compete for the division title?
My Franchise on Madden 24 begins with the New Orleans Saints. The Saints offer a unique challenge compared to any other team looking at their future cap space problems and aging roster. The Saints are not a bad team in 2023 at all. But their future could not be anymore problematic as cap restraints will cause them to move on from players, including some of their aging veterans they still rely on.
I aim for a more sim feel to my Franchises. I play on All Madden sliders that promote a more realistic play style. I have developed my own XP sliders to create a more authentic feel to Franchise in terms of developing young players and replacing regressing veterans.
This will be my biggest Madden 24 series, and I'm excited to get the rebuild underway.

If you want to focus on winning in the future, you play Westbrook and hope he'll figure out how to buff out his many, many kinks in the timeframe Madden allows him to properly develop within. If you want to focus on winning RIGHT NOW, you play Jones and hope his comparatively more precise acumen can compensate for the lower upside. As it stands, these Saints were built for someone to come under center and get the job done NOW; thus far, Jones has risen to the occasion - or, at least, not undermined it - in a way Westbrook's all but refusing to. That's my (probably fundamentally broken) way of breaking it down, at least.

James Houston having a quietly great season as a complimentary rusher to Sweat. He’s also been sneaky good defending the run and not getting blown off the ball/losing the edge like a certain draft pick that shall not be named

I think this is these last three games have shown that the only thing the Offense was missing was consistency. Jones helps to play complimentary football that lets the Defense look better as well. Best chance for the Saints to make a deep playoff run!

A lot of commenters were overly harsh on the Jones trade, IMO. I guess because of real life events, I don't really know. But his ratings are in a very good spot for this game and he's able to do the simple things that Westbrook couldn't. I've said it before, but just having that level of competency from the QB position is enough to show what this team can do. And no, I don't think Mayweather would have been able to do the same. My guess for Pearman is 15 TDs.

This was an awesome episode cane! I love how the defense played, and how the games flowed. It felt genuinely so realistic. I am so excited for more!!! Watching this series gets me excited like im 12 years old again. I'm 20 now lol

I mean, love to see this defense gel and special teams make splash plays, but it’s hard to confident in this team doing anything in the postseason with Mac Jones. In 3 games he only has 2 TDS and 3 INT and the touchdown today was all due to the skill of Blackwell, nothing to do with what Jones did. When it comes to playoff time, it’s tough to trust your defense and special teams to bail you out every week. Also Pearman probably has 16 total TDs in his career

The difference between Mac Jones and Westbrook is insane. Westbrook struggles to throw everywhere while Mac Jones does nothing really spectacularly he just throws it accurately short. Solid medium and will hit routine deep balls. Westbrook will not hit routine deep balls. Will not do well in the intermediate and sucks under pressure/short .

i’ll say, i don’t understand the team’s success fully. mac jones has way more ints than tds, but the team just wins. crazy how those small plays really WERE the difference in this offense, but imagine if we had a qb with the skills of both westbrook and mac jones put together. imagine some nba-like offseason moves, mac jones and blake westbrook for firsts, then those firsts for a top 5-10 quarterback who is on a losing team/on an expiring deal/the team has a rookie at least semi-ready to start. the storyline of houston hating cj stroud could come full circle 😭

Still don't trust Jones - one bad game, one so-so, another bad. Jones can't throw it away & takes sacks. Westbrook (while inaccurate) got rid of the ball. With Mac, you've won - but only on running & defense. (Tomlinson is getting good, but Fenderson still sucks.) The Mac Jones offense gets FGs - sometimes - but TDs are rare as hen's teeth... and his INTs are at least as bad as Westbrook's missed passes [and Mac Jones DOES miss too!] . You STILL need a real answer at QB... NICE fake-FG... but gutless to set up for it. ((And where the _heck_ has Blackwell been??)) - Keen to see what happens(!!) and Cheers (PS - Like the presentation... I'll guess Pearman has 11 TDs, all told... but please say how many Olave/Blackwell/Roby have too!)
