I bought this in August, and use the “Melody” section because I mainly play it live. It is superb - the difference you can make with the amps and effects section is brilliant. And when placed in a mix with other sounds/instruments make it sound even better. Thoroughly recommended!

I've heard good things about EZ Bass but have never used it. What instrument do you play? I'm a guitar player, and while I do have a bass that I've used to record ideas in the past, a wise guitarist knows that picking crudely on bass is not the same thing as being a decent bass player So, these Session Bassists have been great for me.

@@mkirbymusic I picked it up with the picked acoustic, as well as electric sunburst deluxe edition! Because I already have the Full version of kontakt - I get the elctric sunburst for free, which means I only need to pay £44 to have the upgrade! I really prefer having absoulete control over what my instruments play, so the strumming patterns were not super usefull to me - so I really needed those melodic settings that they both have.

Great video. What about playing several notes repeatedly (like in Post Punk or metal)? I've used other libraries and instruments that sound great like you're playing this one, but using them as I mentioned sounds really bad. Is that the case with this one? Thank you very much

I'm going to have to test this out actually because when I read through the manual, I didn't see any specific key switches for up/down picking, The Scarbee series has that but I would guess that Session series do it intuitively and not programmable.

Very similar in features to be honest. I just find that the tone of the bass that this one is modelled after, plus the patterns/playing style align with my taste more.
