Dude you got my respect and my subscription for promoting New Zealand. Kia ora bro. Warning: sweet chilli sauce here (in New Zealand) is not even mild and super sweet. Try Kaitaia Fire Hot Sauce from New Zealand and you will be mind blown. Not super hot, 65k Scoville (medium), but the flavour balanced by vinegar is super amazing. Any Kiwi supermarket should have it because it outsells Tobasco.

That looked like a thick shake gone wrong....I would of taken it back. Go to grind coffee lounge in Upper Hutt Wellington if you want an American style thick shake!!

My favourite burger of all time, is a American burger if fish n chip shops make em. Kai fish shop, kaitangata. Nailed it.

No offence but that burger sucks from Ferg. Probably one of my least favourite bespoke burgers. Try peaches hot chicken in Auckland, Pauleys in Taupo is good and there's some good joints in CHCH

I'm a kiwi but Ferg Burger was so underwhelming and massively overhyped. Plenty of better burger joints in NZ such as Jax Burgers in Auckland.

I guess if you like glitz and following what is so called trending? Queenstown is a tourist dollar trap. Nothing kiwi about the place anymore. People saw what it used to be like in the 70's and wanted it, so brought it, and changed it to make as much money while ruining the whole original vibe. But you have to be an original local to know such things. And of course Fergburger has to be good. It's hyped up so much. There are plenty of good burger places in NZ. Not just the American trash that is mass marketed.

I don't disagree with you about the best burger, it's right up there for me, but at least eat a 1/3 of it before making your decision, it doesn't seem credible to take a couple of fairly small mouthfuls then make the decision. Perhaps consider giving feedback on the bites and then after you've eaten all you'll eat give a summary :) It's a pity you'll likely never get to try the Hybrid Burger from BurgerFuel, because that was an absolute masterpeice. It was a special that ran for 2 weeks. If I were you, I'd contact head office, and tell them you are doing a NZ food tasting, and it was recommended to try that. They might get one made at a store for you. It was worth it.
