At this price point you mentioned ~$250 they are a lot of fun to just kind of explore urban areas and totally worth it for anyone on the fence. All these scooters at that price point are pretty much the same minus little differences in the displays.

I really liked this scooter compared to the other ones I researched but this is the only one I saw that claimed to go 19mph instead of 15mph, other than that they were mostly all the same.

I agree, the tyres caught me out on my first ride. They fold under if you corner sharply nad one they wer a bit forget traction in the wet!

I've never had them lose traction or fold but they sure do feel like they're gonna.

I will say brakes on the left are pretty standard for single motor scooters as the throttle is usually on the right

I want to stay under 300.00 and want at least a 20 mile range, but need to go only up to 15 miles per hour, is there anything in the market under 300 that is solidly built?

Maybe, alot of the scooters in this price range have around 10 miles of range and are pretty cheaply made. You'd have to look around.

You're stuck with Walmart or target in that price range. Not saying they're bad but this is coming from someone with a $1000 one (ninebot max g2) which i got from best buy. This was after buying a $800 one and not being happy with it 🤣. Believe me when i say the best bang for your buck are the pricey one's. A $200 difference in the two i bought was worth it. I just use my cheaper one as a grocery getter 😂

I bought a niu kqi2 pro for 399(EU) decent range and speed but the build quality is as if it was a 1k scooter, been zooming around on it for a couple months and it feels super solid

Here in Europe every escooter goes 25kmh thats 15mph and none of these cheap scooters go faster
