Is this the best restaurant? Rockland, Maine

It may be arguable that this is the best restaurant in town, maybe. But, the Rockland Café is some wicked good and highly recommended. Try it for yourself and you be the judge.

I live in England but originally from Maine. My parents, both deceased, were regular patrons for I'd guess around 30 years. I have wonderful memories of time there with them. I have to say for me it is always been the lobster roll! I don't believe I've ever had anything else! And we always had a desert or took home whoopie pies! As far as staff...ALWAYS welcoming and make you feel at home, when my mother was struggling with cancer treatments she would hanker for soup, my father would call and come to collect it on a regular basis. As you can tell, I recommend the place straight from my heart. ❤

I agree with the video, however, in the last two vacations and visits there, the place was hardly open.

Hi James, it has been awful here getting help. Restaurants all over the state have been struggling. My favorite quick meal, Amatos, has left Bangor and Boondocks in Fort Fairfield closed. We can only hope things get better. Thank-you for watching.

I have not! I grew up in southern Maine, a little town by the name of Emery Mills. I currently live in old town

Enjoyed the Rockland Cafe last summer, visiting our son in Coast Guard from Houston. Both the Seafood Lasagna and Lobster cake eggs Benedict were excellent. Had to go back after the Eggs Benedict, son enjoyed sandwich and traditional breakfast. Great food at reasonable prices, and I agree, service was on spot. Do be ready to wait, it’s pretty tiny and frequently a line. Rockland overall is a great little city. Port Pizza is another favorite.
