I have one and I could not be happier with it. It is a placeholder until I can get my hands on a Rolex, but I did not expect to love it this much. I had a lot of Seikos and other watches that I sold. I have not worn another watch for 7 years. It works in any situation.

I agree with you a 100% - I just bought it initially bc it was so cheap and good looking, but I ended up wearing it almost daily. Wear it in good health, brother.

The issue with Rolex is that it’s so expensive and hard to find that you can’t wear it everyday. The cheaper watches can be worn everyday and they’re still high quality

Agree on all of the above guys. 😊 It's always been amazing to me that when the big brands copy other watches, it's not homaging n when the microbrands do it, that's blatant copying or homaging. Rolex copied their Explorer dial from Smiths n no one seems the wiser n kept calling the dial "Explorer". I like this Alpha dial because it looked like the Smiths, not the Rolex Explorer. N while design may not be an area for credit, the quality n make are... For the price. N in your case, the price to satisfaction level too. Which I don't think even the Rolex can match. My only qualms are the size n lume, which is why I went for the Tisell Explorer Automatic 39mm; but I got it at only 100 bucks preloved n in pretty mint condition too. So kudos to your Good review n I'm really happy for you mate. To have found your joy in this beautiful piece. Just goes to show that great watches Needn't come... With even Greater price tags. 😊

Love the style and blocking of the numbers. A nice looking watch for sure. If the company that makes this watch would consider removing the “alpha” logo and reducing the size of the word alpha on the dial it might make it even more attractive. Congratulations on your new watch!

Gorgeous watch. Great to wear at a nice restaurant and can even blend in with a suit if you have to attend a function. Can also be worn with a simple T shirt for weekends out hiking in the summer fields

I've just bought the 36mm version only with a Miyota movement and has the better milled clasp which they've changed from the pressed clasp. My wrist is just over 7 inches and also feel the 39mm would be way too big. Overall I'm very pleased with the watch. Great review btw.

San Martin went with the modern design of the Maxi-Case on the 36''. It may not be for everyone, but I love mine to bits.

Great choice, had one a while back and really enjoyed it, but I decided to use it to start a trade up series to get to the smiths you mentioned.

I just subscribed with this video. Great video. I unfortunately would probably never be able to afford a Rolex. Probably the most I could spend on a watch and this would be saving for a while is $1000. And this would have to be my only purchase for the year.

San Martin released a nicer version with applied indices. But this Alpha is really nice

Some alpha explorer watches have plain screwed back and others have open case back?

yes, some older models have an open case back and a different handset. This model that I reviewed is the most recent one. But if you shop on eBay you’ll be able to find both.

It seems to me when I see such reviews that the people who do this have never been in any big watch store and even in the watch department of Macy's department store. absolutely all all watch companies have this model. You will not find any company from the cheapest Chinese to the famous Swiss that does not produce watches 100% matching this design. so there is simply nothing to talk about. I was recently in one of the Longines boutiques in downtown Manhattan where I saw absolutely the entire collection of submarines, the only difference was Longines was written on them and the cost was several times less than the original Rolex. that is, everyone can and there is nothing to discuss p.s. У меня кстати есть абсолютно такой же "benyar" я её который я купил за 6 долларов на ебей и плюс 5 долларов доставка с красивым модным циферблатом по-моему этот цвет называется teal

I bought one way back its junk the handset jammed straight away I mean no quality if the hour hand catches the minute hand !

Of course, it’s not as refined. However it looks classy when you wear it with a nice dinner jacket at a nice restaurant or upscale hotel bar. Wear some high quality leather shoes and you’re all set. Nobody is going to complain because it’s not a $5000 watch
