Is THIS the CHEAPEST YAGI you can buy?

Күн бұрынRetevis asked me if I wanted to test out their 2m/70cm dual band yagi, and since I just got the Icom 706mkIIg I happily said yes. Is this Ailunce AY04 the cheapest yagi you can buy? Is it any good? Can I make a QSO with it? Well, you have to watch the video to find out.

Nice video. I had the same problem where the holes weren't drilled for the horizontal portion. An easy enough fix but I do worry about water getting in. If I were to have it permanently mounted, I'd probably want to seal that area. 73

I would assume with a 20dB loss or gain depending on the polarity of the other antenna.

You mentioned the SWR was 1.3 on both 2 meters and 70 cm... did your SWR test indicate enough broad bandness on 70 cm to extend operation in the GMRS Frequencies (462-467 mhz)? BTW, enjoyed the video.

I just scanned the Region 1 70cm band (430-440) so I honestly don't know.

Actually not that interesting, but it is cheap, relatively well built for the price and it works. That makes it a great combo.
