Is This the Hardest Map in BTD6?

Twisted Nightmare is one of the hardest maps ever made in BTD6. Currently it's ranked 3rd in the Maplist Discord server, where they try to make and beat the most difficult maps BTD6 has ever seen. With the help of Geeph, Issimo, and Derpskull we managed to take down this beast of a map.

@@erm3l #Ouch for instance. Despite being made by NK, the map's design is simple enough where it could likely be recreated in the map editor... High finance is an example of the opposite end, where the map has so much stuff going on that it's almost hard to believe it''s an NK map (These are both good maps, just mentioning them because their designs deviate from that of a lot of other maps)

this is the bloodbath of btd6 extremely hard but would fall off of its throne over time but remain as a legend in our hearts

Personally id give the bloodbath of btd6 to Uncharted Abyss, which is one place above this map. Abyss is iconic for several reasons. It was top 1 for a long time, it has one of the most optimized and well tested earlygames on the entire list, it's the first collab map ever made, and if it wasn't for triangle cave (by me) sniping the top 1 spot it would've held top 1 for like months. in fact, with the new update nerfing Geraldo, it's likely that triangle cave is now impossible and uncharted abyss is top 2 again

Nice run! I wish there could be harder maps that didn't have 3 or more tracks. It's just chaotic in the terms of difficulty. I love to micro my towers but not when there's 4+ lanes for bloons and another couple for moabs later on. Difficulty is what I look for now playing btd6 but not for the sheer amount of lanes requiring it to be "expert"

That’s actually the reason why the maps are hard, I mean look at blons, it’s such a short track but isn’t that hard because it’s only 1 lane

I completely agree and understand why there is multi lanes to be considered expert but I'm sure someone's capable of making something hard and not requiring more than 3 lanes, is all I'm getting towards. And I mean the people at NK. Because we're limited with map editor!

there's actually 2 maps on the list with only 2 lanes, though they're near the bottom. They're still considered harder than bloody puddles though. Their names are Grovefarer (ZMLEFLY) and Grove Apart (ZMYWXHH)

@@SHHDADDYSWORKN It's possible, Geared is a thing, you just need to put a spin on it. Even that map where the window panel makes you unable to interact with your towers is somewhat difficult for its difficulty.

8:06 I don't think knockback has rng, it's just that for different types of bloons it slows them down differently. So perhaps on some attempts you popped cerams (they get more kb) with the super, while on others you popped them with a gerry fire. This would also explain the rng, as you started the round with the gerry fire on a different angle.

hi xl this is correct, and to be more specific cerams and leads get their speed set to 40% while other bloons move backwards at 25% speed

That would actually make it harder, believe it or not. Geraldo is the only hero in the entire game that actually benefits from intermediate leveling, because his shop refreshes at level 20. So when you get the shop to refresh on 96, it lets you have a genie up for the entiret of the late 90s

Yes Very much yes (assuming you mean beating tar pits in btd5, in btd6 it is physically impossible without nerfs but with the needed nerfs to beat round 6 it’s still much easier)

Geraldo has more strategy and optimizations then most other heroes. Only exception really being Corvus. There are right and wrong ways to use Geraldo, he's not a free win.
