Basically the message was a reminder than Bee Swarm Simulator was a passion project, not a commitment on Onett’s part, so we as a community aren’t entitled to anything, not even an update. He didn’t say that nothing would ever happen, he said that he doesn’t have to do anything if he doesn’t want to.

I’m amazed Onett actually did an update this year, let alone a huge one like this. It’s a great game and unique on Roblox. I hope we get to enjoy it for a while yet. I don’t care if updates/beesmas are finished or sporadic. I’m just enjoying it for what it is. Thank you Onett.

Here’s a simple solution for Onett, After he ends beesmas, he can take a break until about August. Start working on the update in August til Christmas which is nearly 4 months. This way, you’ll have plenty of time to do everything you want and promised things can go in the game. I highly respect Onett and despise people spamming hate messages in his chat, but honestly, procrastinating got him in this predicament.

I have an analogy for this entire situation. This entire situation is like getting steak at a restaurant. We are expecting to get an update on Christmas, which is like expecting a medium rare steak. But, since it didn’t come out, players are angry, like how you would be angry if your steak wasn’t cooked how you wanted it to be. However, if we let the chef, in this analogy Onett, cook a little longer, we get our well done steak, with seasoning and whatever. This has taken its time to cook longer and has been prepared not in a rush. This steak is the update. If we let Onett cook, we will get a quality update with minimal bugs and well tested features. So, let’s all be patient and let the big man do his thing.

Its a shame the game is leaving I invested a lot into my gameplay but I did say I was gonna get leaderboards by having the other pros quit but not like this... it leaves m in tears but what can I do right? Well despite the pain building up knowing he has quit I really wish those people would of not ruined it for all of us because it sucks when you have to take the pain and suffering caused by others in the same community as you I had so much joy with this I dont know what I will do without such a amazing game I might quit the internet as a whole😭🖥❌🐝❌

As a veteran for bee swarm, this pisses me off in that the community, the people who made the game what it is today decide to bash Onett for seemingly selfishness motives? I'm tired of seeing people asking in the game about when beesmas is coming out, it's easy to say this but some people can't comprehend that it's ONE DEVELOPER. I would hate seeing a game this epic be discontinued because of some absolute idiots who don't know how to listen to some fair, understandable and clear message and just continue like anything would ever change. While I completely respect and understand that Onett is a person and need to take time to develop the game at his own pace, this is a really terrible way of addressing the community that made him famous in the first place. Had Onett never made BSS, he'd be an absolute nobody. To go out of his way to essentially say "fuck you idc" to the people that gave him everything he has is really a dick move. Again, I appreciate all that he's done, and I understand that having thousands of people yelling at you every day to "develop develop develop work work work" is incredibly stressful, but when addressing these issues, he has to keep in mind that without those people, he'd have nothing.

This is an unpopular opinion but I don't feel bad for him. Dude's a freaking millionaire, not some defenseless indie developer, who can literally afford a development team. I feel so bad for Onnet, which is sad. The audience is mainly composed of kids who just have nothing else to do. It makes me both sad and angry now because this has been at the back of my mind, knowing kids do not appreciating the work of Onnet. As a player from the start of BSS, this excruciatingly hurts me and any other long term fans who love/adore this game. I think everyone here is wrong. Onett admits to lying, and every hates him for it. I would never expect to have zero consequences for my actions. This is why people should never make promises that they won't fulfill. Onett needs to take a break, and in my opinion, I think Onett HAS taken a break many times. I bet Onett has had more breaks than actual updates in the game. He needs to hire more developers to help him, or he should just sell the game. He cannot be continuing with this game if he cannot fullfill a long-awaited and hyped update that he keeps delaying or says he is working on but always releases way too late.

Honestly, I feel Onett's stress. Imagine every year you spend all your time even on the holidays to work on your game and instead of getting a lot of positive feedback, you get bashed with complaints, death threats, etc. To those who think it's Onett's fault and him being being lazy with the game must understand the true WEIGHT of going from enjoying updating your game to constantly getting complaints and threats to finish your update.
