It was awesome to catch up with Drew from Bison and to see the updates on their new hard side campers. I was impressed! What do you think?

Looks well made and light because of the materials used. Thanks for sharing. It would be nice if they had a more aerodynamic front end for less wind drag and better mpg's.

Thats awesome. I wonder why the flatbed models cost more? Seems like less bends and cuts on a flat bed as far as manufacturing.

I wonder and asked the same thing to multiple builders with no one ever offering a legitimate answer. I had to bite the bullet because I wanted a flatbed total composites. It doesn’t add up. Same amount of material, less work and less cuts.

That is a nice camper, thermaly perfect, like the Earth Roamer look. Price seams fair in todays world. Potential durability makes it a value. Really good company name.

That's a burly built slide-in, and I bet the weight is pretty low. I think the pricing is great compared to other options that aren't as well built. Definitely added to our list for the next build. Would like to see base weights and price ranges on the average custom builds they're doing.

You just can't beat slide in truck campers, IMHO. I love my Ol pop-up. But there's Def a solution for each niche. This looks built to handle rougher terrain. Nice work, Bison and D2M!

As long as you have a bed that you don’t have to make, unmake and store bedding every day and offer a comfortable sofa “option” for a backbreaking Denny’s” diner booth dinette these will fly out the door💥💥💥

I’ve chatted with them back and forth a few months ago. That camper with interior buildout is just under 1,000 lbs. A 6.5’ full-size slide-in is about 720lbs with windows and a door. Hope that helps as a frame of reference.

@@RotasOpera All i know is, a GFC (yes different type of camper) is about 9k without any options. I built my own wedge style similar to a GFC the way I wanted with the extra options like windows and such for about 2.5K So I can imagine building yourself you'd save a ton of money. But not everyone has the time, skills, tools, or place to build one themself. Just food for thought

I'd be curious if Drew sticks with this design going forward. He's changed his camper designs at least 4 times now. Hard to trust a company when they keeps changing the product and there's no consistency. Lots of promises and promos but not a lot of products or deliveries out there in the real world. Interesting that he would dog on Total Composite campers just because they use composites made in China. Total Composites have been building campers for at least a decade now that have traveled around the globe on unimog chassis. TC campers are proven worldwide for a long time now. Drew needs to sell a few units first before he starts to talk about other companies...

Hey Drew here. We’ve been doing hard sides for three years and made one revision. When we did Pop Up we went from aluminum to composite, and then offered aluminum for a short time while we moved fully to these new Composites. I’m not really sure what you’re getting at and changing designs four times. Once for Pop Up and once for Hardsides. And yes I am comparing and showing how our product is better and improved than another product, just educating and explaining why we believe our product is better… what’s wrong with that? This month we are finishing our 22nd camper of the new style (since December). And over 50 since the beginning. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Have a good one!

@@drewphillips2001 I'm glad you finally found a process that you're sticking with but lets be real you've changed your business model multiple times. First came on as aluminum pop-up. Then went to composites pop-up. Then went back to DIY aluminum pop-up and then now finally using composite panels that everyone else is using because it's easy and doing hardside composite. I'm sure you're using composite panels from Texas from Lemker. Again, nothing wrong with improvement but hard to hand over money to a company that keeps changing their product.

Four months driving Colombia in our Promaster and not one American overlanding. There must be some somewhere on the PanAmerican but we’ve only met Canadians Europeans and Brazilians in vans trucks and monster expedition trucks. Not one American. Are they all at shows in the States looking at vehicles instead of going south? Weird and lonely.
