Blantyre is Malawi's centre of finance and commerce, and its second largest city, with an enumerated 800,264 inhabitants as of 2018. It is sometimes referred to as the commercial and industrial capital of Malawi as opposed to the political capital, Lilongwe. It is the capital of the country's Southern Region as well as the Blantyre District.

Can you ask yourself that the British were the one colonized Malawi yet talking negative about it, can't you see something is fish there? But if you trust those media it's OK for you, but Malawians will continue developing the beautiful Malawi 🇲🇼 besides the negatives from there oppressors.

The cities in Africa look larger, more beautiful, and more developed than cities here in the U.S.

Malawian women take care of the home and run small businesses from their homes. Men like to go into the city to "hustle" but generally women are the primary family caretakers. Women are also the ones mostly involved in agriculture.

Lovely to see Blantyre. It has really grown with lovely buildings and roads. I was born in Malawi and spend my last 3 years in Blantyre. It is almost 44 years I left Malawi and settled in UK.
