MINIs have always been on the expensive side but they've always been great fun had really great sounding engines for a four cylinder especially when you open them up. I just wish they upped the power to compensate for its weight gain... at the rate they're going, 3,000lbs is just a few years away.

I have the F56 Cooper S and I love it. But its definitely more expensive than competitors, especially outside of the UK. It costs more than a Polo GTI, more than a Audi A1 40tfsi, and basically more than any other B-Segment Hot hatch. And that's before you even factor in optional extras.

I love my 2005 JCW Cooper S... so much I swore I wouldnt sell it.... I do believe I have found a reason to sell. LOVE the Gen 3 Sound, Looks and Drive. Thanks for the post.

I absolutely LOVE my 2016 3 door, it's my second Mini (first was '06 base model I drove for 5 years) and I feel like I'm surrounded by slugs in traffic! There are 2 corners on my way to and from work that I ROCKET through if the planets are right and I've got 20 miles to empty.

I know times changes and bhp figures do too from country to country. But over here in the UK, the F56 Cooper S makes 192bhp and does 0-60 in 6.7 seconds.

I have a 13 JCW Countryman. Obviously heavier and larger but every bit as much fun and powerful. Only drag is I live in NoVirginia, USA and the roads are HORRIBLE. So I feel every rock, hole and strip in the road.

@carfection, the UK based mini company 1320mini would have a beef with you about 'easily the quickest mini in the UK' (10.486 @ 135.16) not track, but I think they also do some road race stuff :3

To answer your question... YES (it is the most exciting MINI I'm aware of). I'm drooling a little while I type this as my Gen3 'S' sits outside, still cooling down from my morning commute. Thanks XCAR, you've just contributed to a decrease in productivity at work today. Where can I get these parts?! :)

1 - No, it's not the most exiting Mini in the world. Search youtube for Banyards carbon tubbed 2 litre V8 MINI. Much more fun. Amongst others. 2 - No, it's not the fastest Mini in the UK, no matter what their marketing guy told you. It's not even close.

I love mini race cars ,UNLESS it rains they all fly off the end of the straight or any tight corner ,when it's wet ,BUT still a very nice race car

I'm pretty sure that the engine can be modified to that number, using a racing ECU, bigger turbo, bigger intercooler, forged internal and so on. And the gearbox in the video can work with that power, IMO.

+SkilllessFlorid3r Yea terrible... That's why they have been regarded as the best steering feel of any fwd car and pretty high up there for any car. I don't know many people that have driven a MINI and didn't love it.
