Incredible that at this level the dutch didn't even try to scout for the whole game as a reactive civ and sent CM and some defensive stuff against a defensive player, and didn't scout later to see fort build to make mortars

Why tf did dutch revolt? And why USA? If he had actually bothered to scout and see all those forts, he could have either stayed Age 4 or revolted to South Africa to keep his eco to built mortars,

Played this guy just a few hours ago in a 2v2. Coming back to this video because I recognized the username of the Mexico player. Basically his strat was someone do Baja revolt and he do Texas. I will testify and say this is a pretty bad strat, the dutch player lost in this case because he also wanted to meme and so revolted into USA. Where as I scouted the forts and me and my teammate kind of just boomed for 15m then blew him up. Anyways I'm only writing this comment for one thing and it's that this guy is really toxic. I had a chat with him after wards and he said he lost because he didn't have the fort range upgrade, as if that would have saved him. When I questioned him on this he got really defensive and said a few funny quotes like "Map control and resources don't mater you're a noob for thinking that" "Baja plus texas is invincible". (Not exact quotes i don't think but this is literally what he said). Anyways this guy also trashed talked me even thought I won, said I was a noob suggested as the quote above. In the video as well he is extremely toxic saying gg before the game ends and constantly taunting his opponent. Mostly the fact he is so argogant and ignorant is kind of what ticked me off. As well as the fact that just because he made a kind of cool mediocre strategy that some people have labeled as OP and what not and had some videos made about it. He goes around claiming it's an invincible strategy and I only won because of luck. Idk what ever though gg I guess.

Instead of diving in and losing so much units under Fort's Firepower, sieging those forts with a couple of mortars would get an easy win for Dutch player, imho.

The fort build seems really cool, but: a) i still think italy 12 second free forts takes the cake as the most toxic fort strat, that shit was disgusting b) I think its too slow, first 15 or so minutes he just stayed in base with 0 units to do anything and he only had a decent army at around 20 minutes. He couldn't be raided, but he couldn't raid or get any map control either. If Dutch had scouted, he could maybe boom and get to imperial or even SA revolt, texas eco and free units couldn't compete vs imperial units and eco.

I'm glad to finally see some nice ruyter into guard carbine cavalry but I'm so sad that he did not use the full potential of that card to basically overpop by 100 or so. Was the time really so bad to try producing ruyters until 199 pop??? I mean it's Dutch, it should not be difficult to have that kinda gold.

Just played this strat in a 2v1. Teammate left and thought it was my end but managed to survive. Some critical points from my game: 1. Very risky build: The amount of resources and shipments I needed in order to start building the forts was too high. It's very risky. 2. Enemy didn't spam mortars: Although they didn't revolt and got to age 5, they, for some reason, did not train more than 10-15 mortars. 3. soldiers from fort train very slowly: Had to build barracks and train separate batches in order to defend forts. 4. Needs a Strong AF Eco: Luckily Texas revolt has a shipment of 24 vills so you can retrain all your villies. Overall a fun build but soooo slow. Game was 1 and a half hours.

It's a shame Dutch never made mortars or tried flanking from the left. I felt like he had a fighting chance still. Maybe try sniping the 2 churches from the flank? Edit: Nice strat overall, it's a shame that the Mexico guy was such a yapper in-game.

Infinit units that's an interesting Turtle Build order. The only buildings he lost are the ones he DELETED. DAMN, talk about perfectionnist. 0 Buildings lost. This man made me want to give up my work and start to play 24/7 MEXICO civ.

Well someone did me 80% of this strat turtling with central america indestructible forts and then revolting to texas but instead of doing that lame turtling at least he pushed with everything after revolting and thank god the man wasn't toxic just wast frustrating his strat and wanted to kms after losing to that. If I had to play in front of that blue piece of sheet of person and damn lamer toxic, i'd probably not be here writing for frustration

If dutch didn't revolt he would have won. No one can beat dutch in a treaty like game like this. Slap some farms down build tons of walls and millitary buildings and keep spaming with motors and then it's game over.

Great to see you posting a game NOT played by the same ol usual tryharding 'top 100'. I really hope you cast more because as you yourself hinted at in the video, they are far more interesting/entertaining to watch. In fact why not ignore ELO altogether and just go for games that are entertaining to watch? Players above 925 ELO usually have good game knowledge, underneath that where they start to build early mills is where it starts to get dumb. I think Dutch should have immediately sent the card that enables him to create villagers and then reboomed back to 50 villagers and gone to imperial. But actually there was no point in revolting versus 6 forts. Instead of trying to destroy the forts, he could have gone for trade monopoly as well and built fortified outposts around the TPs. I don't know why some people who are winning act like such dicks though, calling gg for your opponent is about the most irritating and dickish thing you can possibly do.
