It is no longer underrated; major developers bought a massive chunk of land next to Long Beach and its neighboring bays in San Vicente. They are now building huge township-like vacation properties. In the next 5-10 years, it will feel different. Glad you made it and experienced the untouched and pristine condition of the area.

I hope the Philippine government preserve all these natural scenery of the islands and not overrun by throngs of people. I visited palawan around 2007, traveled by van on unpaved road from Puerto princessa to underground river for 6 or more hours; along the way was beautiful scenes especially untouched coves . The guide said that the government was selling lands for 1 peso/sq meter to encourage new immigrants to come develop the the sparsely unspoiled place. Now, it appears many places in the Philippines is getting overcrowded. I hope the government is aware of it.

Too late, Nickel Mining is all over Palawan. You can even see the scale of forest lost by it on the Google Map/Earth.
