This IS one of the weirdest nerfs of all time. Even Tyranitar wasn’t dealt with this poorly in the balancing side of things. It feels like Scyther/Scizor just don’t have a super strong signature. Scizor is just “tank” ane Scyther is a glorified speedster.

Scyther is not built for Swords Dance; you just cannot proc that super boosted attack with the minimal hits that Scyther's Dual Wingbeat does compared to Scizor's Bullet Punch

Therefore Swords Dance cooldown will be increased" Players: "Why are you nerfing Swords Dance? This doesn't address your supposed issue of muscle band proccing Technician twice. If it was really overpowered, why not just nerf the autos or change how muscle band interacts with it? Also people will just use Double Hit instead now." Timothy Studios: "Just do it! Also Hoopa is getting nerfed because it's seen too much in tournament play. So let's buff Blaziken, and completely ignore that Blaziken sees tourney play too!"

Not even 2 minutes into this match and Talon was pissed. Went from bot to top angry asf.

They have some of the lowest WRs, yet every time you say buff Scizor/Scyther or Goodra all of the beginner 3 players crawl out to say that they're OP.

1:32 This moment right here represents the average Scyther experience. Lack of range, easy to miss because aiming area moves on switch is so trash, then you go in and even if you hit the enemy you get punished for it so hard. Even the weakest moves take away all of your health.

Hello have you seen my lost pikachu? It was with me when I left base but by the time I got to literally any part of the map where something was happening it was gone

I wouldn't mind the nerf as much if it meant his Boosted or DW got buffed. Boosted's speed boost is noticeable but can't compare to the Def boost Scizor gets and the ease of access through Bullet Punch plus the life steal. I can't confirm for sure if you can mash boost in a bush before engagements but that's also a thought. DW giving health is nice but aiming it doesn't really show you where it'll hit exactly, has a delayed second hit which nerfs damage output if you miss and therefore needs a stun/slow to get both, and if you miss entirely there goes your second dash for kill secure or escape. It may sound like whining for not having a second dash but remember that most other Speedsters (and some others) have two or two charges with low downtime on one ability with no requirements: Leaf, Talon, Drio (debatably with the passive/Unite/Drill/Leap), Zoro, Zera (Frenzy is a dash kinda but it also makes you invincible on contact). All Rounders have Machamp (I know he's mid but hindrance res, speed, and Chop are great), M2X (Teleport just works), and Scizor (cheating but BP is a dash when you need it and gets cdr just for grazing an enemy and eats hindrances) Attackers have Gren, Mirai (Drift and more from Charge), Cinder, and Cram I do want DW to be an attack followed up by a dash but why does it have to be below average speed, have a wonky mid range hitbox, or have to hit at all?

At 3:10 talon was readying it's unite move to defend from enemy bottom laners.

It's still fine with blue buff. Not a huge change, but mostly you'd be running scyther on double hit for mobility anyway, and it also gives resets so.

As a scizor main, I totally understand the nerf. And its not like they nerfed damage or anything. Its just an extra second on sd. Not a big deal.

As much as that late fight was looking real bad, you’re mew2 and pika just made things so much worse. They were so lost the entire game. Besides that, idk why it was nerfed, it’s really good but majority of players don’t even play swords dance and even then scyther isn’t gonna melt everything it struggles dealing with tanks
