Not sure why.. I think there might be a lot of upset people in the industry at what L.A.B. has done.. the only other thing I can think about is that you seem to be "slightly pushing" the df3 even though, statistically, they were almost exactly the same in testing (and it sounded a little like you tried to smooth that over to favor df3...but not really.. idk. Wanna sell the 2.1? :D I was going to buy a DF3 but they've been out of stock everywhere around here (seriously they sell out instantly at dicks/golf galaxy... the other LAB putters are still in stock.

"far more generous and 'paid shill feeling' " compared to yours... I imagine there's some negative sentiment just because of how flooded youtube is with L.A.B reviews right now, teh tech cannot be denied IMO (advancements in drivers and other clubs has kinda stagnated IMO... LAB has a real advancement that's worth every penny here .. again IMO) I also imagine there are people in the industry who are reallly scared at the impact that LAB putters are having on their own businesses.. no other putter is constnatly sold out at golf shops here other than the DF3 right now... Your'e a "content creator" ... you know how this industry works.. I don't have to say much more... It's a good review.. you didn't seem to be hiding anything. I know the putter is as good as you're saying.

Putters are very personal, and when we find something that works we just gotta ride with it! I play stock df3 and really like the steel shaft, so it doesn’t necessarily have to be $700 to be good. Good luck!!

@@TheGolfNerd thanks ! I will need to get custom fit for lie angle. I’m seeing some vids saying LAB recommended a different lie angle than what they were fit into for a conventional putter. If nothing else after I send in my video if they recommend a 69 deg lie angle which I believe is their stock lie angle I’ll get a stock one and maybe add $75 for a counterbalanced version.

​@@TheGolfNerd Excellent, thanks for the tips. Picked up the DF3 today. Your grip tips will help. I've been struggling with face control on my Evnroll mallet. Some days it's great but other times I just can't get it aligned. The DF3 seems to align more naturally for me just by virtue of its visual design.

Got a couple rounds in with it. Very natural and easy to align. It feels very light compared to my Evnroll mallet but I adjusted well. The highlight of the day was a 70’ putt up a hill that I rolled just past the hole to 2’ from the pin. Overall, really liked it. Now if someone could make winter greens roll more consistent….

Oddly enough I was just talking with someone who ordered his after watching my video and he just got it. Absolutely loves it but is in that adjustment period as you do need to tweak your technique.

Greens this type of year are tough, like putting on shag carpet. Hope it comes along for you quickly. For me, there was something special right away, I mean the tech is great, but for me the DF3 has some extra mojo. Thanks for the comment!!

The length and lie of the DF 3 featured in this video is 34” and 69°. This is their standard off the shelf setup which happens to be my fit, per their online fitting process, which is free. I shared the total weight and swing weight of each putter in the video. My wrist to floor is 29.5”. Hope this helps!!

I honestly felt like the DF3 was a little easier to control distance, even during the mishit study. I did not think the heel and toe hits sacrificed much in terms of distance vs center strikes. Hope that helps!!!

I owned the Link 1 and now have the df3 and it's night and day. Huge difference and slightly better feel

@@JoseHerrera-um1ct agree.. haven't owned both but have practiced for hours at a time with both. The other putters they make are pretty great but the DF is def a step above the other models.. and obviously what they want people to buy. It seems like they make the blade/mallet models just to try to get the customers who are off-put by the unorthadox styling

I like the look of the DF3 much better than the Mezz, but that’s highly personal. I’ve never used anything but a standard length putter, so I’m afraid I can’t comment directly about the broomstick. Thanks for watching!!
