As a British man i believe Tunisia 🇹🇳 is very safe, there is army everywhere and police even on the beaches. Matter of fact i was in a taxi a the police pulled us over because he seen the driver had tourists and they wanted to see if we were happy Tunisian people very polite and welcoming, they want you to feel safe and happy so you cone back because the tourist and hospitality hasnt been 100% in some areas for a while ❤ 🇹🇳

I think they gave you trouble because of the drone, rather than because of social media. Drones are forbidden because of privacy concerns and spying uses. Happy you enjoyed the trip ❤

m a tunisian and i want to thank u chris for showing the real tunisia cuz everybody think that it is that third world country with nothing to offer. tunisia is great place no mater how hard the media trys to tell the world. yeah we might not be perfect but we come a long way to be where we are right now specially after getting rid of the dictatorship that lasted from 1956 to 2011 and starting the arab spring we are still far away from what we dream to be but i believe we r on the right path

Re your experience at the airport. Tunisia and other Arabian countries had bad experiences with foreigners who come to their and cause problems. From. Political activity to drugs to exploiting locals. Do not take it personal. Its not just you. My brother in law and nephew had similar experiences.they were doing video about life in north Africa.

I am an American here for first time, in Tunis, near medina. Having a great time, mind your Ps and Qs, don't act stupid or disrespectful and you will be fine. Be cautious when ordering food from menu's that do not list prices would be my only advice. Confirm prices prior to ordering, get itemized bill before paying. Tunisian people are a good people, honest and kind.

It's very safe in Tunisia. I am woman and come with my son every time to spend 1 month and I love it. The only issue I had is actually the place. The 1st it was Airbnb but unfortunately nothing worked and 2nd tile was an apartment hotel but they hadn't water (no water the whole month and I couldn't go somewhere else because I have paid 1 month in advance in cash). Other than that I love Tunisia so much and my son too. I forgot to mention that Tunisia's primary economy runs off tourism. By the way I love dogs

I really enjoyed watching you exploring Tunisia and would love to see part 2 (hopefully you don’t forget about little Switzerland Tunisia’s northwestern region). But please for your own sake don’t land in Tunis-Carthage Airport. Land in Enfidha-Hammamet international (best airport in Tunisia), or Monastir. If I wasn’t based in Tunis, i’d never land in Carthage. They’re even thinking about moving the airport of the capital.

Drones are not allowed in Tunisia, at least for locals. you need a permission to bring it inside the country.

I recomend you next time stay in sousse an from there you can go to Tabarka, kerkennah Island, to Klibia, to Bizerte to coconut island or jen island and you should visit ain draham and in the south you should go to djerba Island, sfax, douz, kebili, matmata 😊😊😊👌👌👍👍👍

So do you feel like you got scammed Chris? Because the folks who took your drone could have been imposters, they took your info with no uniforms on or any badges or documentation that they were from the government. It looks like you and Andrew got picked out of a crowd of tourists and they took advantage of you being foreigners. Stay safe and keep up your great videos.

That's the rule always in tunisia they're really from government and they don't wear the badges to say hidden just like they do around the world in airports to catch suspicious people. the problem maybe Chris didn't ask them to show their badges or so and what they did is not false because to have a drone in tunisia you need to submit for a permit.

The airport situation sounds like a scam to see what they could take from you. I would have requested airport security to confirm who these people say they were. People should also check travel advisories. Especially, at this time. Tunisia has a travel with caution warning right now with some areas deemed as no-travel zones.

Tunisian immigration officials have deported many French and UK tourists based on no hotel booking and other 'security'reasons in past few months. This has led to UK changing it's travel advisory for Tunisia. Reasons for this is there's sub Saharan refugee crisis as well ill treatment of Tunisians in France and UK

Rules of thumb…..always asked for identification when strangers trying to post as an authoritative figures. I can see the likelihood that you are just scammed.
