I have only been to ultra 2019 I honestly thought it was my worst possible experience at a music festival. Granted that they did move the location and it wasn’t ideal but neither is the location they have currently it’s so small. I think that’s what fascinates me so much about EDC Las Vegas I had always dreamed of going to ultra since like high school and now as an adult who does enjoy music festivals Ultra just doesn’t sound worth it to me. To sum it up I do think the production is good as well as the lineup but even living in south Florida near ultra I’d rather go to edc lv hands down or even Orlando much better time.

Lol I completely agree with you on all the negatives you brought up. It gets on my nerves when people are trying to bulldoze through the crowd like dude just say excuse me I will move 🙃 also the people with the fans 💀😭

I went to Ultra the very first year in '99, then again in '03, then '06. I loved seeing how this festival grew and evolved. Sadly, money (greed) have overcome the organizers. For the amount of money they are charging, you'd think by their 20th year, they would have more than adequate facilities, line and crowd control. I agree everyone should experience it at least once. MMW is definitely something you do not want to sleep on. The food, the parties, the weather, you can't beat it. Good recap. Your cons about Ultra were spot on.

I love what you said about Hardwell. This was my first experience at Ultra, and I'm ready to buy my next year's tickets. Wow! Hardwell also gave me chills, incredible show.

As a Miami local! I completely agree with u. This was the messiest festival I’ve been to. I would 100% go to music week events again, but I would rather spend the ultra money on EDC Orlando. Also, fan cackling is so fuuun! But a random person did tell me to stop doing it cause it was too loud 😂😂😂 overall the crowds weren’t nice at all and you forgot to mention that there was barely any security and the annoying people with the carts selling water going in between the crowds

Crowd was really bad tbh. One guy literally skipped the line to get drinks. He was trynna go before me. I was looking at him in a confused way and he gave me such a negative look as if he’s going to hit me sth. First time in rave festival i felt such unwelcoming and negative vibe. 😣

An absolute 10/10 experience. The lineup was everything I could have asked for and more. We started the weekend with Miane, Dom Dolla and Gorgon City at Oasis Wynwood and the venue alone was just amazing. Great stage production and a great way to start the trip. I’m a first timer and all I can say is they came back with a f**king bang. Food was insanely good, water stations weren’t too bad, stages were amazing and unique. The lineup alone was easily worth a grand….. The only cons of the trip were coming in on Friday due to it being packed and there not being enough porto potties. Buying tickets for next year without a doubt.

Mainstage is always iffy no matter where you go, but the mega is what separates ultra from the rest of festivals. Truly an unique experience

My first ultra was in 2019 and I honestly liked it sooo much more than 2022. Drinks were just redbull with water and the trees were on the way in the main stage. You’re right, the people was just pushing around with no manners.

Yass the main reason I think people where popping pills everywhere is because the alcohol was a scam!!!

The entire festival was quieter bc of the city of Miami / return to bayfront negotiation. I was so happy when they said f off miami day 2. Even megastructure was so quiet day 1. I went into day 2 so miserable so was so happy when it blew me off the roof. But the quiet first day led me to try to go closer day too since I never go that close at a festival. Ended up against rail for 6 hours sat. 7 hours sun. Absolutely amazing…. Until the Pee-ening

Glad you mentioned who the special guest at world wide was bc the ultra app showed Carl Cox’s picture there all morning. I was like whaaaat??! But stil wasn’t getting there that early

So great to see you at Heldeep and Saturday at Ultra! Fridays at Ultra at Bayfront location has been an issue for years. It’s simply too many people trying to get in during a small amount of time. If somehow they could have an earlier start time it would solve a lot of the problems. Saturday and Sunday were much better. Claptone B2B Vintage Culture might’ve been the best Main Stage set of the whole weekend. I’ve been telling myself for years to stick to just MMW events, but Ultra always sucks me in with their exclusive acts.

Full disclaimer, Ultra is my home festival. The crowd is definitely "rougher" here and I blame that on my fellow Miamians. However to me this seemed like the friendliest Ultra in a while. My theory is that as the price goes up, less Miami people go haha. That being said, the music at Ultra is top notch and the megastructure cannot be topped. I personally feel that paying around $170 a day to stay mostly at megastructure is worth my money. Everytime I walked out of Carl's House it felt like landing back on Earth from space. I had an incredible time. Great video Emma. How long until EDCLV?

I went to heldeep pool party too. It was crazy. I wud also not wanna go on ultra. This is first and last ultra experience for me. I think i like edc vibe more.

I live maybe less than an hour from Ultra and EDC Las Vegas is the other side of the country pretty much for me and you’ll still catch me at EDC Las Vegas anytime before Ultra music festival Emma makes a good point you gotta check it out once, but man bayfront is not big enough for this music festival.

PGA Bathrooms were royal. PGA this year is $950 (incl $200 of “fees”). VIP is like $1400 next year. Includes nothing. Ridiculous. ARC festival VIP passes were $800 and include alcohol. Snacks. Massages. Special line. Bathrooms. After party. And access to several other parties between now and then.

Ultra was a good time this year but definitely need to fix the little problems and a bigger venue. The 2019 Virginia key edition was a way better time in my opinion.

Naahhh don’t agree the only thing i agree is the bathroom situation it was my first time and I’ll be definitely going again Food was amazing waited no more than a minute to get it So far everyone i met was super nice For water line all 3 days i spent like 10 min each

Waiting that long for water is kinda ridiculous in my opinion. In my experiences at EDC, you spend maybe 30 to 90 seconds tops. I usually spend more time adding Gatorade powder to my camelback than waiting in line.
