Checo is a really good driver so where he finishes at the end of a race is a good indication of how good the car is. Where Max finishes is a good indication of how good the driver is.

I've been watching F1 since the early 80's and I think he's the best allround most consistent driver I've ever seen.. He showed great talent in his rookie years already, but he also made a bit to many mistakes mainly because of impatience back then, which was forgivable given his young age and inexperience.. After his mistake in FP3 in Monaco i2018 allowing teammate Ricciardo winning the race he changed and started to become the machine he is today optimizing his performances.. He has no more weakspots and he's extremely good at everything, qualifying, racecraft, tyremanagement, wet races, you name it.. But the most impressive thing is his consistency and his pursuit of perfection, he just never takes a day off and is never satisfied.. So it's no surprise that he breaks the most wins in a row records, now that he also has a good, reliable car.. If anyone can win all races in a season, he's the one..

If he wins all races this season, there nothing left to prove for him. If he wants to have won more championships then anyone, no one will doubt that he can get that. Actually, it would be boring to watch, and I say this as a fan. I would rather see him quit F1 for a while, and persue othe racing challenges like 24h LeMans, grand touring or even Rally, perhaps proving to be the greatest racing driver of all time.

@@robertjoostens The point is: Schumacher and Hamilton didn't win every race. This made the races at least worth watching. If Max wins every race in 2024, then the amounts of potential wins he can achieve are just statistics. Everybody will know that he will achieve that. It's not exciting however, and if he chooses to that would be disappointing to me because that implies he is satisfied with that. I would expect more. I'm not going to pay for a streaming service anymore to watch it.

Hands down the best and most dedicated F1 driver in the world, also the most complete F1 driver. There are no drivers that can drive in the rain like him, tire management, and understanding of the car.

Lewis Hamilton has never been in the conversation for best driver ever imo, he just gained alot free championships because of an extreme dominant car for many years, but even in his prime, he was nowhere near the level of Max Verstappen or Senna/Schumacher.

hhh until max goes to another team and have a fierce and talented teammate that is not a lap dog for him and is only there to help him then we can compare him to the level or Senna/Schumacher. he's always been in redbull and their number one driver and let's not forget his first championship being the only one he had competition in and still neede masi and alpha tauri drivers and perez to help him. i'm not even a lewis fan but he faced great talent as teammates and a lot of them were champions and he's not afraid to face charles and go to his team. stop te double standards

Alonso and Button, Alonso had the same amount of points even though Mclaren was highly in favor of Hamilton, and Button beat him on points.In 2021 Hamilton needed an engine change every race after the summer break in order to stay in the fight, and skipped a corner for the lead at abu dahbi, not a Hamilton fan my arse.

Yes, Verstappen is most likely the most naturally talented of all the drivers mentioned. And in terms of character and natural talent he is comparable to a Senna and Michael. No one has ever seen a driver like Max Verstappen, he is unique just like Senna and Michael were. From his debut in a mediocre car, he immediately did incredible things that we have never seen from anyone at that age. He amazed everyone on and off the grid from day one! Everything is in this boy: insight, aggression, cunning, passion, drive, ambition and above all speed:-) Verstappen is the 'Messi' of Formula 1... once in a generation! Why isn't Lewis mentioned by me? Because I have never had that specific feeling 'that sensational feeling' with a driver like Lewis Hamilton. Lewis is a particularly talented technical driver, a driver who does not race with his heart but with his head! That makes him different in terms of not only character but also driver style than the previously mentioned drivers.

Verstappen's speed is on par with the greatest of all time. His consistency is where he makes the difference. Yet, I prefer the wild and young Verstappen, making some mistakes and challenging the stewards by doing crazy stuff on the edge of the rules. He matured. Sad for the spectators.

Best driver ever is difficult to determine. Better is to compare driver in combination with season. Verstappen 2023 is different to Verstappen 2015.

I do think he is the best but I do think that he would have to fight competition off if the grid would invest in younger drivers. Verstappen already proved that the older drivers are going to cut it.

Good presentation. Thanks for sharing. If Max continues as he is now & does not lose his unique ability to focus solely on each race as they unfolded. Unfortunately, Schumacher, Senna, Vettel & Hamilton, etc all lost focus on being the ultimate driver during their careers. Ha-ha

Clark was certainly one of the best, but so was Lauda, Prost, Schumacher, Fangio and Senna. Would wait with Verstappen. See if he switches cars and then see what happens, similar to Vettel.

1. Schumacher 2. Verstappen 3. Prost 4. Senna 5. Alonso 6. Vettel 7. Hamilton When it comes to driving the car and creating a team that develops the best car. Schumi made both Ferrari and Merc a winning team, going from a good team to a bad team building it up from scratch. Hamilton has always moved to a better team harvesting the fruits of previous drivers' work. Verstappen is probably a better driver than Schumi (and the rest of them), but haven't had the opportunity yet to build a team. But if he switches to a new team in 2025 or 2026, I bet he will make that a winning constructor team. Hamilton will really struggle with the Italian culture in Ferrari.

I think the entire current generation is a lot better then former generations because of the simulators. Back in the days the only training they had was the actual real race. Michael Schumacher never trained behind a simulator even guys like Lewis don't like it and aren't good at it. It reminds me about chess, where Bobby Fischer used to be by far the best and had by far the highest ELO rating. Nowadays Fisher is no longer in the top 20, out of the top 100 only 2 persons are not alive and one of them is Fisher. How comes? Well because the current generation learns from computers.

He is the natural sum of its predecessors! So yes he is currently the best until the next guy comes up. Each of its predecessors before Verstappen elevated the level of his predecessors. There is always an evolution. So in the realm of the greatest drivers it’s not that special. Each generation there is one or 2 driver rising to the top. Currently on the grid there are 2 ultimate drivers. 1 is Hamilton and Verstappen is his successor. Leclerc is up there but he isn’t the top tier. Leclerc is falls in a category below ultimate drivers. In that category you will find Alonso, Vettel Raikonen, Hakkinen etc. Ultimate tier list consists of Verstappen, Hamilton, Schumacher, Senna etc etc.

to make things clear form the start I'm a Max fan but I don't believe in this "best driver ever" or "greatest of all time", being him, Lewis, Michael, Senna, Fangio or anyoney else. But one thing I must say, I have a feeling that Mr. Ecclestone has some thing (take that whatever you want) against Lewis, everytime he open his mouth to talk about him is to put him down.

Schumacher and Hamilton pulled off some less than fair stunts to win championships. Verstappen has not done that (yet) so for the time being, he stand head and shoulders above the others.

Why this obsession with who is the goat? Every era demands different things from drivers and the sport changes a lot in time. You can't compare F1 in the 60s with F1 nowadays. What a driver has to bring? There was a time, the biggest challange a driver had was staying a live while being brave enough to take risks. Nowadays a driver has to a lot more team management etc.... Worlds apart. In my opinion, there is no GOAT, the sport changed to much to make comparisons.

For me, what lets a driver stand out as the (to be) greatest driver is the ability to win win with a competitive car, his racing skills are able to fill in the rest. Those skills mark the difference between a winning racer and a winning driver in a dominant car.👴🤷‍♂

@@MrRepsie you're comparing drivers in different eras that's first seems alot of you guys started watching f1 lately to come to that conclusion, he is definitely one of the best but each era is different and cars are getting better, he drives for the best and dominant team but he still makes the difference just like the other champions but he's always been in redbull and their number 1 driver he never had to fight his team mates perez is not on his level but redbull doesn't even let their drivers fight for a chmapionship they always have a clear number 1 and he is winning now with no competition so i don't know how this equate to being the best ever, senna had to fight prost as his teammate who one of the best drivers in hisoty yet underrated, lewis had alonso in his first year and is not afraid to face great talents like leclerc
