Fouad literally pointed out that high volume lifters don’t get injured nearly as often as high intensity low volume lifters and asked if genetics lends itself to which training style an individual thrives under most. This whole “he’s racist!” thing couldn’t be more of a stretch. People need to look up the definition of racism.

I feel yah. I'm from the Caribbean (USVI; mother is from Dominica, not Dominican Republic, father's from St. Lucia) and I saw the vid, and too me, Faoud didn't say anything that's racist. You're right about the word racism being used without REAL understanding. When a person or group prevents another person or group from acquiring higher education, promotions, and where they can live, that is definitedly racism. I'm all for equality but, God damn, how can my peeps not see the difference, and, if they knew what racism is, we wouldn't say that Faoud said a "racist" statement. Faoud, on some real s..t, shouldn't have retracted NOTHING about what he said, because he spoke FACTS.

@kingsize1182
@kingsize1182 Жыл бұрын
@@ibrahimwellington3046 , if I got to explain to you what the real mtfing MEANING of racism is, then I'm wasting my time. Look and listen to what Fing Fauod said, and, if you see racism in those statements, you are no different than a lot of caucasians and asians (try not to use "colors" as a descrption because it was introduced by americans during slavery to divide and cause inferiority complex in us ) who see us as people who see EVERYTHING as a race issue, that prevents us from getting higher educations, promotions, and the ability to live where we damn well please, when that is not ALWAYS the case, man. I grew up in BKLYN, and when I would go to some of these asian markets in the hood that had the food us Caribbean and Africans like to prepare, or clothing stores by caucasians, they be giving me that "look", and would be following me around because of their perceived definition of me. From 15 yrs old, I've been stopped, frisked, and let go because I "fit a description". I still remember this cop's name, officer Serano who, came at me in his racist s..t, that if I wasn't handcuffed to the ground (I fit a description), I would have been dead for trying to send him to hell; former golden gloves boxer, as well as, bare knuckled fighter for pay, in East Flatbush, Red hook, Fort Greene, Staten Island, Long Island, Bensonhurst, Harlem, Bronx, Bed stuy and Brownsville in the late 90's and early 2000's, where I broke my hand, and lost teeth, fighting in that life. I lived in Georgia and Florida, where I saw racism, front and center (we had moved to Decatur GA for a minute when I was a youngblood, and, there was this huge thing about those of African descent living in certain areas, where it was predominantly caucasians, and Forsyth county was the worst, because from 1912 to 1987, until the media led by Oprah to help change that s..t, we couldn't live there) they kept those that look like me from living there. Yeah, you could work there but couldn't live there type of thing. So, I bet, I got more of an understanding of Fing rasists words or actions than you do. IF you think that Faoud said something racists, than you don't know S..T about real RACISM. I'll go even further in what I'm going to say, and being the Fing snowflake you are I bet you'll say that I'm a racist against my OWN, but I do believe certain physical traits by certain groups do give them an advantage in sports (you do have outliers that are the exceptions to the rule). Tell me a lie that MOST of us in the 100 and 200m in Track and field are not predominantly us. Most strength athletes are from Scandanavian countries or Asia. C.T Fletcher and Mark Henry are outliers in the game of strength. Most basketball players like us, for the most part can jump a little higher than those who are not; Brent Barry was the 1st caucasian in 1996 to win the NBA dunk contests, with Mac McClung in 2023, being the 2nd; once again outliers they are). I remembered, once again, as a youngblood, a Jimmy the Greek, an old school sports reporter, who got ostracized and lost his job for telling HISTORICAL FACTS (even my father who's Moslem agreed with him) that those of African descent were physically superior when it came to sports, was due to slavery when the plantation owners would "mate" a "big buck" with a physically strong looking woman of african descent, to produce a genetic marvel to put to work when he/she gets older to produce on a higher production level. lf you are of African descent and don't know this HISTORICAL FACT, you are a DUMBA$$. Do what I did, I'd go to the library, and READ books by those of African descent, as well as, caucasians on slavery and racism. My father, Nasheed Muhammed, a moslem (mohammedan if you know your history, you would know that's the OLDER term), would make my twin brother, my little sister, and myself read the bible (front to back), the Qur'an, and the torah, for us to understand the differences (little did he knew then, that it turned me off from "religion" because I saw a lot of good in each, but saw a lot of BS in them, as well) so, we can have a broader view of what's out there. S..t, he would make us read a page a day with the damn dictionary and, we had to read the Daily News, the New York Times, the Washington and New York Post and write down in a sentence what we understood. Even though, my old man was a hard a$$ about racism and other s..t, I got to give him props for exposing us to the world through books of information from all walks of life. You need to do the same. Chris Cormier (an outlier along with Victor Richards, Sergio Olivia, Ronnie Coleman, Larry Wheels, and Bertil Fox, in those of african descent who are massively stronger in pushing inhuman amount of poundage in the gym in comparison to those who look like them) is WRONG in stretching out RACISM into a benign statement by Faoud, and, once again, if you can't see the difference, go into a library (not an FING laptop), with a pen and book, read and drop down points and, than research what those points are, For or Against, and than analyze the GOD DAMN points for yourself, instead of hearing talking points from FOX, CNN, NEWSMAX, MSNBC, etc, FING ETC, FING ETC. The dumb down of our intelligence and common sense is strong in these past 20 years or so. To this MTFing day I don't have a GODDAMN TV or a GODDAMN computer in my crib. After work, I go to gym (box 4x a week, and lift 2x a week), go home and cook my meals for the week, than I read history, science, do math, and read different newspapers (I FING subscribe to 5 papers that come to my door). Before I go to sleep, I check my phone for boxing (not into MMA) and bodybuilding podcasts for an hour or two (for the mtfing most). Then I give my woman some QUALITY time, either communicating (with limitations on media, we talk a lot) or BLOWING HER BACK OUT.

I'm a big fan of Chris, but he's tripping on this subject. I'm of African descent (Caribbean) but Chris is stretching too much into something that don't need to be stretch. Genetics do play a factor in sports. World Strongest Man Competition, Olympic Weight lifting, Powerlifting, or any strength sports, are dominated by Caucasians (Polish, Latvians, Russians, English, Danes, Finns, Icelanders, Swedes, etc). Track and field (esp long distance, 100 and 200 meters race) , basketball, football (American), and baseball (almost), and bodybuilding are dominated by my peeps. There are outliers in every sport activity but GENETICS do play a mtfing FACTOR. Faoud didn't say a DAMN thing wrong, and, I saw the vid to be able to say that.

The only one here that comes off as racist and race obsessed is Chris. That's ok, I've been a fan of Chris since I was a "white boy"(as he freely calls us) of 13 and walked into a gym for the first time. He's coming in with a weak mind frame here but he's still a legend and ill always put him up there with the best.

Anytime someone refers to race as a reason for “fill in the blank”, it can be interpreted many ways. Chris wasn’t wrong, he just couldn’t make his argument better, Dennis wasn’t wrong either, even though he made his argument better. Truth is both guys gave their opinions about something that was said, no need to tell a guy why he’s wrong about his OPINION!

I like Chris I just think he has an axe to grind because he feels guys like Jay and Dorian got preferential treatment by judges and sponsors due to the fact that they were white. Just come out and say it Chris! But don’t insult the whole White race and say we all have trash genetics just because you’re bitter.

Never took it racist, he did generalize, but there is some truth to what he said. Definitely doesn’t mean anyone black is weak, and there is plenty of evidence to the contrary(Ronnie, Chris, Kevin, Johnnie, etc)

Many aspects of society is determined base on race and gender. A lot of people don’t want to admit that race is a factor many times. Nonetheless, I’m disappointed that Chris is making a big deal about this. I did not find anything wrong with what Fouad said and I’m unapologetically black.

Dennis is a real one for confronting Chris on this. Fouad just shit on white bodybuilders during the same conversation that they don't have as much longevity. Are we supposed to just pretend race and genetics don't exist? Even though Fouad hides it, he must be a little hurt that one of his favorite bodybuilders of all time publicly called him a racist. Anyways, great podcast episode. Victor is always a good guest. Always has good insight and legit uncrowned Mr. Olympia. I stopped him as he was leaving the 2012 Olympia expo for a photo and he couldn't be nicer. He must've been exhausted and had a hurt wrist/hand at the time in a cast but he didn't show it at all.

Chris, the racism is strong with you my boy. Unfortunately this is why people try to keep something brewing where on the streets, shit doesn’t exist. Racism is ridiculous and as an Native American, shit needs to stop.
