If you come to Vietnam, I am sure you will want to know what dangers and problems you may have to face as a tourist, especially in cities such as Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh, Danang or Ha Long, and how to avoid these uncomfortable situations that can ruin a part of your holiday.
In today's video, I will give you 10 tips that I would have liked to know before I came to Vietnam for the first time.
I hope you find this useful and, please, don't forget that the problems I point out in this video only show a really small part of what Vietnam is as a country and do not represent it at all.
I live in Vietnam and have fallen in love with this country, and I truly feel this is one of the safest places on Earth (apart from the traffic).
So stay safe and see you soon!!

PS: I forgot to mention this in the video, but there is another scam worth being aware of. When walking around Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh, you will often cross paths with people pointing at your shoes and offering you shoe shining/boot polishing services. It is possible that they will tell you a price at first and, when they have cleaned your shoes, they ask you for a much higher quantity of money, arguing that they had to use some sort of glue or other materials to fix your shoes. Even if you have not agreed to that, they will insist that that's the quantity you've got to pay, and they have your shoes, what are you going to do?
To avoid this situation, you can simply abstain from using these services in tourist areas because you really don't know how reliable is the person you are about to give your shoes to.
