1. David Zaslav doesn’t like cartoons so I doubt he’s going to give it any respect. 2. Let’s hope that whatever company buys it, will show it some respect and take the Adult Swim block off. And put like a Boomerang style block on their for the older generation who don’t want to watch the shows on Adult Swim but don’t like the current schedule on Cartoon Network. Replace Adult Swim with Checkered Past and extend the block. 3. I have heard that the old Hanna-Babera cartoons are moving to MeTv Toons this summer.

@@courtneyminnis6222Not true. What David did is that he is no longer paying royalties to the cast and creators. Same thing with him removing live action shows. Thats why the tax write offs happened.

Let a reputable source buy it. Someone who actually cares about everything that Warner Bros has put out. Someone who won’t cancel movies for tax write offs like Zaslav did. A company that accepts the old with the new. As long as Disney doesn’t acquire it. They were going to back in 2016, but missed the opportunity so instead they bought Fox. Actually at this point, Paramount should acquire WB.

Like Paramount, Warner Bros needs a new CEO. I do not know how David Zaslav is still here, but reality I guess just be like that sometimes. I'm still tired of the cancellations, the layoffs, the ideas to not sell those properties to other buyers. Wouldn't you want more content to get you out of debt? I have no idea how Warner Bros. Discovery is going to make it to the end of this year. I doubt another acquisition or merger would get rid of all that debts and its sort of the norm. Can I company pay 55 billion in debt within 12 months.

I also highly doubt it and I say this because at first I paid attention to those rumors that said that Comcast was going to acquire WBD and that happened a few weeks after the merger, however David Zaslav came out to talk about it saying that there is no sale in absolutely, but the rumors related to comcast resurfaced and this time with dc comics, because they said that warner wanted to sell dc to comcast but the one who this time discredited these rumors was james gunn himself saying that dc studios is not for sale and Once again, the rumors resurfaced in the middle of 2023 and they even set a date for Warner to merge or be bought by Comcast. I honestly believed this rumor and waited until April to see what would happen and when that date passed, there was no news. or any confirmation, also comcast is determined not to buy another company and we saw this with paramount, the company wanted universal to buy them but by orders from comcast they denied it but they would work with them on future projects also warner didn't do so bad This year they made profits thanks to godzillaxkong and dune and wonka helped them before the end of 2023 and as for the contracts with actors and directors, it is still not known for sure because at first it was said that warner did this to sell himself to comcast But since April passed and none of that was real, it is most likely that they are doing this to make more profits. In conclusion, the news that Warner was being sold is false but it also shows that Zaslav, no matter how bad he is, told the truth from the beginning.

On the one hand, I am dreading the idea of another merger; considering how the current one between Warner Bros. and Discovery has turned out terribly. But on the OTHER hand, this could be a way to finally force Zaslav to leave his post and for someone more capable to take the helm. Though...even IF such a thing were to happen, I'm sure they wouldn't be able to take back all of Zaslav's tax write-offs

My best choices for a company to buy Warner Bros Discovery are Skydance Media and Redbird Media, they lost their bid for Paramount Global against Sony and Apollo so Warner Bros would be good for Skydance.

as much as i dont want to see it happen i feel like WBD will eventually get acquired by Apple or Comcast. But i feel like the only way they can possibly do it is if they can find a way to recoup more money within that 45 million dollar debt to bring that number down a little bit to give the next parent company some breathing room

Much of the debt is around 4% which less than government bonds. Debt can be used to reduce tax. Not saying it's not a burden but likely it's no way near as bad as being made out

Tbh I’ve kind of been expecting something like this to happen for a year now, apparently there has been a rumour that Universal are interested in buying Warner Bros. Discovery, and if that happens it could pretty much be the biggest news in the entertainment industry, pretty much ever since Disney bought out 20th Century Fox back in 2017. If Universal did buy out WBD they would pretty much be the studio with the most animation studios even more so then Disney, not only would they own the Woody Woodpecker cartoons, plus the animated films from Illumination and DreamWorks, but they would also own the rights to the looney tunes and Hanna Barbera cartoons, and they would also own the rights to all the Cartoon Network and Warner bros animation shows. So in many ways if this did happen it would be the biggest acquisition news in the entertainment industry. In total though, whatever outcome this goes to I’d probably give Warner Bros. Discovery five years before they actually get bought out by another company, but even then I feel like that’s being abit too generous.
