Your advice is very helpful! I make sculpture candles and my goal used to be to get into stores and get wholesale orders rolling in but I have decided I no longer want that. I took on one wholesale order for the holidays because it’s my friend but I’m already overwhelmed😅 I decided because my sculpture candles are high quality and require so much time to make there is no one better to sell them than myself.

Thank you for all of your advice. I do have a question if you don't mind. How hot should a candle burn and what is a safe temperature for the vessel? I have read online anywhere between 140 degrees and 175 degrees but I would like to be certain. I suppose that is two questions😃

Hello sir, I would like to know how much you would wholesale the single 1 oz wax melts for as well as the 3 oz wax melts. I don’t want to short change myself or charge too much.

I can understand why would you do that I am amazed at how much oil prices have gone through the roof on certain ones. Anything to keep cost down and still keep going.

Are you wholesaling them to the shop to then sell? Or are you selling them consignment?

@laurabitterman1809 I have three shelves of products. They charge me a flat fee to use the space. I take home all the profits. My fee to them is 75$ a month. When I first asked, they charged me 0$ for the first three months. They wanted my products on their shelves. I only sell my high-end candles in there. If I sell 21/2 candles a month, I've paid my flat fee. So far, I've been fortunate and average 12 candles a month. During the fall and winter, I sell 4 or 5 times that. It's been a nice little side venture. Fall is coming. I gotta take my summer line and do the change over October first. That is why I'm just now answering this!

What I learned is that if your candle cost $15 we should double the price that means: $15 cost + 15 for the new material to make the new candle + $15 for profit. What do you think?

Doubling your costs is usually the wholesale cost. Retail is typically X4
