Yeah, Mac Os was unusable with 4 GB

@@VietPhan I installed Win11 on an 8GB 2014 MacMini with dual core i5. It was useable but not very fast. If KZfaq is playing an 1080p video, the machine takes 100% CPU. So it will definitely suffer if you want to do anything other than light web browsing.

So, your main Windows 11 disk is currently connected through USB 3.0, right? Have you considered a Thunderbolt 2 enclosure for SSD or NVMe? I'm curious about the performance difference.

It will be faster, but is it worth the cost? 150 USD computer + XX USD worth of upgrades...unless you have one laying somewhere in a closet

Get at least a m1 Mac mini…it is a huge difference vs Intel Mac mini and windows 11

Running Windows 11 on a 2014 macbook air i acquired recently (basically has the same processor and specs as your 2014 mac mini). I first installed Windows 10 via bootcamp and then upgraded to Windows 11 using some workarounds. It works perfectly, especially considering it's my throw in the bag web machine (my main system is a 2021 16 in macbook pro). I also have macOS Sonoma installed in the other partition via opencore legacy patcher. So I'm running two unsupported OSs on this machine and I'm quite happy with the result with what I use it for. However, I will say, power management and battery life seems to be better in macOS Sonoma then Windows 11. The battery icon is always a little wonky in reporting the percentage in Windows 11, whereas in macOS it works flawlessly.

Great to hear it works on macbook too. But then I would be worried about battery life. Future windows versions might make it better with better ARM CPU optimizations

Tried, but failed. Adapter I bought on aliexpress didnt detect nvmes
