It really is streamer brainrot for sure. I've played about 20-25 hours or so since release and I just finished the story and just hit acct level 30, so still have tons and tons of content left. And even my 20 or so hours is probably a bit above average for a gacha game. This is the problem with being a gacha creator, you're spending 10 hours a day on games designed to be played for 20 minutes a day.

Don't you think it's good that they test the limits on advance so the player base knows what's on the way?

They offer different perspectives for the game. Mtash offers the casual mmo player pov that likes gameplay. Tectone offers a hardcore player pov that watches guides, tierlists, and tech, but really only plays for fun. Fob offers the min max hardcore no Iifer player pov that goes deep into the game. Pokke is pokke. And sweetily is cute, and offers a super hardcore whale pov that enjoys the game for what it is. It's really diverse and great for a discussion on the future of a game. If you look at WoW and OW for example, the podcasts and discussions often only have super hardcore players talking about how the game should be. And that basically ruined those two games, because the devs listened to only the super hardcore players. (WoW became unreasonably complex and completely unplayable without plugins, and OW became really unfun and had terrible gamefeel only catering to super hardcore gameplay)

The guy already asks for new content when there is like 100+ hours of content released a week ago. Even more if you decide to complete the explorations. The average playtime is about 2 hours per day. About 1/3 of players play more than 3 hours per day. Imagine playing 2 months of content in a week and then complain about the lack of content or burnout lol

This. I'm not a big fan of Open World games so exploration was such a chore for me in Genshin. In WuWa, I actually like running around because of how much faster traversal is, plus I enjoy fighting TDs so hunting them around the map and clearing chests along the way feels good.

it's because the game is new. I don't think anyone will enjoy spending 10 hours every new patch just to do the exploration. It happened to me in Genshin, I cleared 100% in mondstadt and and liyue, but getting burn out when I tried to do sumeru and completely ignored exploration now. I want content, but it should be fun and satisfying, not mindless grinding.

I feel like the only people who would need more are people who played CBT2 too much like myself. Otherwise learning the hologram fights and echo farming is enough gameplay until the combat event and altogether should be enough for most people until 1.1.

You have to see mtashed perspective. I think if after killing mobs 50 times you got like 5 premium tuner he would be happy. He does not want infinite content, he wants to not be gated by stamina. "Oh then dont play a gacha". Thing is gachas make shit tons of money and he is hoping with that money they could create the best game in all of existence by not catering for money and instead for fun. Thats what he wants. So imagine if you could reach union level 40 by grinding 24h, maybe make it super tedious and shit, so stamina refreshes are still viable and still just more efficient time wise by a lot. But endless grinding is still possible and progression doable. TLDR: Make perfect game with gacha money, and not gate progression with stamina.

They need to focus more on core areas, that are essential to retaining players. The combat is amazing, so they're fine there. What they need to focus on majorly, is story, and localization. The story is so meh, until act 5 and 6. It's filled with so much mumbo jumbo jargon that is not well explained at all, yet the jargon is used so much as if it expects you to know what each nonsensical word actually means. They need to actually explain the lore behind the words, and give actual examples and scenes to give some weight behind their fantastical words. Otherwise, it just sounds like fancy word salads, with no meaning behind it. Just trying to say big words to sound impressive, but making the audience yawn and check out as they do. Also, I'm sincerely hoping the writers get a bit better at pacing in the future. I understand they changed writers from Acts 1-4 to a different writer for Acts 5-6 (good move BTW. The talent difference is clear between them, and definitely noticeable improvement in quality). But, the overarching plot, goal, and more needs to be better expanded on. We just feel like a person that just reacts to things, while wandering about aimlessly without a real goal. Recover our memories, but that's fairly generic since they've already basically revealed who we were this early. So, what's the goal now? On top of that (and this next one ties into the localization issues), our main supporting cast. At least from what we can tell. YangYang. Her English VA for her is terrible. It's not even a matter of lack of direction, her voice doesn't fit. And the technical quality of her sound gear makes it sound like she's a centimeter from the mic, and we can hear her spitting into it every time she talks. Combined with how emotionless and bored she sounds with it, it really sounds like she didn't even try, compared to several of the other Vas. Which is a problem, because she appears to be the poster girl of the game, outside of our MC. After hearing her talk throughout the story, I'm sincerely hoping we leave her behind when we leave this country. So I don't have to listen to the VA anymore. And then after her, we now have another mascot character after Act 6.....yay (sarcasm). So our supporting cast for our MC is pretty rough compared to other games out there. This kind of stuff makes me wanna just skip all the dialogue and custscenes. Fast skip the whole story. And guess what happens when the story doesn't matter to you? The hype for future characters and patches drops tremendously. You don't care much to see what happens next, and you really only come back to see about, every once in a blue moon, new end game content drops. Because if the story doesn't matter, only that will retain your attention. And that's not sustainable long term. The story and characters need to be good. For this game to go the distance and last a long time. Competing with certain other giants out there.
