Dude, we know the symptoms we’re just trying to get answers and how to fix it the first half to 3/4 of the video you’re just talking about something else you’re not out you’re not telling us how to fix it like stop going on a big spiel just to make money if you’re offering help for phones, then give the help you’re offering stop just using all your fans for publicity and money. I live in a super hot country (temps reach about 130°F or 52°C) and using my phone (xs max) outdoors during daytime makes it heat up like crazy. It starts lagging and even gets a little too hot to hold. I've mostly lost battery health only because of heat. Wish they had some kind of cooling mechanism, especially when they're charging so much for these phones.

I literally just plopped my phone in the fridge for 5 mins! 😂 It’s not even hot anymore.

Even In a very cold room in still gets hot but I’ve noticed that taking off it’s case for a few minutes cools it down really fast.

why apple just figure out anything to end this overheating issues apple take a lot of money from us and make iphones with cheap prices so if apple wants take this money for an iphone why it cannot solve this issues like battery drain and overheating this issues is very annoying i bought a new iphone from a couple of month and the overheating is still on my phone and i cannot use it like playing and social media apps

1.turn off background app refresh 2.check for rogue apps 3.reduce brightness 4.going in and out of network, put in airplane mode. (Not good when phone is needed constantly.)

One of the reasons I quit buying iPhones. Literally every iPhone I owned had this fkn problem till the point where the screen was just coming loose of its frame. I switched to android and NEVER experienced an overheating problem. FYI not saying everyone should make a switch to android, this is just a personal decision of mine.

I always wondered if this was a common issue with iPhones. Guess it is. I have the Xs Max it’s my first iPhone to own. Had it for 3-4 years already. I noticed it would get fairly hot throughout the years. Has apple fixed this issue with the newer models at least?

Turn off your dark modes, i know it looks awfull, but it did worked for me. It’s habitable to hold my phone.

Only happens when I'm on a call. Phone is charged from 75-87% no apps or tabs open. Phone just started doing this after latest update in Oct. 2020.

the new 20 w charger charges my phone fast but it makes it hot??

Also take off ur case, disable notifications on some apps, put your phone in low battery mode, close tabs on safari or chrome, close pages on phone, and turn on airplane mode if possible

Yesterday I learned why my phone has been getting very hot and charging for much longer: my Airdrop was on and probably someone in my neighborhood or a malware had been accessing the device, so I switched that off. Afterwards I switched off bluetooth and my phone cooled down very fast. It’s been a day I have bluetooth switched off and it has helped. If you do not need bluetooth, just switch it off, example if you’re going to bed just switch it off.

I used to use mine to fly a DJI drone. During the day, the screen would get so dark I couldn’t see. At night when the air was cooler, never an issue. I assumed the darkening of the screen was a heat issue

I’m a landscaper, I use my phone for work out in the heat it’s just a nightmare I wish Apple or the other cell phone companies will be able to create some kind of cooling mechanism since they are selling this phones like they ware made of gold, come on Apple you can do better

I don’t know what you guys mean by hot, but my hands burn without the iphone showing any symptoms, I suspect that called warm, everything runs smoothly, sometimes screen get low light, that’s from my fingers blocking light sensors, so I don’t know what dimming does. My iphone is getting really hot and laggy when the case is on it But when i take the case off Its doesn’t get hot nor laggy anymore It works like a new phone Some of these iPhone’s should be used without a case

my iphones have never gotten hot it's only my new iphone 12 had it for only a week and it gets hot asf and the battery dies super quick

I have an iPhone 6s, the problem is that it doesn't even need to be "hot", just warm (when I'm using Spotify for example listening to a podcast) after a while the screen just completely crashes, it's not completely black but a very heavy white dim which makes it almost impossible to see anything, I can see the apps on the home screen if I really focus but the screen is like 95% blank. And it doesn't give me any warnings at all, so I think the phone is simply getting old but I'm not sure. The only way to fix it is to go inside somewhere and let it cool down, I have the latest iOS update and my apps are updated, so I don't understand what could be causing it.
