I am the same way. I like to watch things play out rather than having to edit everything.

Only superstars that you have on each show will wrestle on the respective brands. So, if you want certain guys or women on your roster, you have to assign them. The Raw untouched is mainly for custom universe setups.

If you have more than 1 PLE a month, it messes with the rivalry system. That's why I deleted extra PLE's.

And the power ranking, is that based on lets say stone cold is having 4 to 5 star matches 2 or 3 weeks in a row , does his power rank go up because he's winning every week or because the match got a really good rating? I want 2k to actually work out these kinks because we shouldn't have to do all this extraness so the game does what it's actually supposed to do.. Something I'd love is if they'd give us a show rating in universe mode.. or just give us the option to have a budget or do free play. I know gm mode has that but I really hate the system it has where it's idk.. brutes vs. High flyers n if you do the same class the match doesn't always go well.. eh it's handcuffing the player when we can't book matches we've seen on the actual shows but oh in the game it's a...styles clash ..😂

My answer is edit the match to what you want. Why does everyone just let the game mess up their universe mode with rivalries, titles, and matches when you can easily just edit it? Royal Rumble winner isn’t in the title match at Mania? Edit the match and put him or her in there. Easy,

This method works perfectly fine. Been doing it for years. But if you have yours working the way you like, then that's all that matters.

Do you play the matches yourself or do you simulate them or do simming AI vs AI matches? It happens to me, aswell, I don't see other people doing similar to my approach. They either copy the current product, do certain era or promotions. And may or not use spreadsheets, pen and papers to keep track of what happens. I also work around what they give you, with tweaking the AI behaviour, putting the matches tables and type of matches, I want it. And mess around with, mostly the divisions and rankings, that mostly fixes some of the AI-self erroneous weekly booking. Because the AI auto-booking is mainly based on divisions/rankings and in title matches, it always puts the #1 in the ranking vs the champion, when you don't do "Rivalries".

@Pduarte79 I play them. But my outlook is, if I have to edit every single match, every ppv, every rivalry action, every rivalry, then I might as well just play My GM. Where I have full control. I've never understood people complaining about the "worry of dealing with logistics and editing" when they turn around and edit every single thing each show, each PLE in Universe. I personally would like a mindless experience and an element of surprise when playing The Universe mode. I also don't understand people who simulate and watch matches on a game when we have endless real pro wrestling to watch at our fingertips. I want to be IN the match.

​@@theprowrestlingshoot Each enjoy their own thing. Myself I don't get people that copy basically what they see in WWE and AEW, etc...where's the imagination in that. That's a subjective take, without any right or wrong answers. People that enjoy play every single matches and track and record every little thing that occurs, if they find enjoyment in that, cool. But I don't. Like the dude above, I like my approach, that honestly, I saw alot of Universe modes, either playing or simming AI vs AI, they end up being very samey, since they also do the same approach copy current WWE or any promotion, do a certain era or promotions. Since I'm not obsessed or am I control freak, instead of the hassle and it's boring for me, I prefer to tweak the AI, matches tables, type of matches, rankings and positions and stats. And the same way, I don't control, when I watch the real product and simply enjoy what occurs before me. By not having, a WWE/AEW soapy opera scripted narrative, so and so as to win or loss, like being like a real fight, similar to UFC and One Championship, where I don't know the outcome, that randomness and unpredictability gives me fun and enjoyment. And also gives me more a fluid/dynamic in my booking with the way, I play around minor and major PPVs, isn't your cup of tea, but is my mine. Some may prefer NFL, others FIFA and PES, I like Championship and Football manager. And I now, I got Mygm, but I prefer the sand-box and total freedom of Universe mode. And this videos are tips and tricks. Not "do MY WAY or else." or "MY WAY is better and superior way, while yours is poopy." It’s subjective. Not everyone cooks rice the same way and even cooking similar, the taste differs. Ps: AJ Styles vs Akira or Brock vs R Truth, only occurs when you don't tweak your divisions. The game tells you that 😅, AI self-booking is based in Divisions/rankings. Put Akira, R Truth in a undercard or midcard title division. Put Aj Styles and Brock Lesnar in the main eventers or whatever divisions, problem solved. 😅 Like I said, most enjoy the control freak aspect, others play around the AI. Is like playing modern Persona, you like Direct Commands Party members, go forward. You don't mind AI controlling the party members, you got simplified FF12 gambit system. Depends on the player style and preference.

@@Pduarte79 as long as you are happy, that's all that matters. I usually run a custom universe as well. I don't normally do a universe that is exactly the same as what you see on WWE. If I'm doing WWE, I'm mixing it up with some guys from AEW ECW TNA and legends of all kinds. I don't do the same roster the company usually runs.

You can certainly do this. If you are editing everything anyway, there's no reason to change a thing.

Not sure tbh. They haven't added that feature yet. But you can set up champion match on your match table. I personally don't, because chances are it will do it for you if you delete all the other match types on your show except the matches you want. Normally it will have 6 man tag and other types of matches as default. Delete those, and only have 1v1 or 2v2 with the percentage 100% and be specific on how many matches like that you want on the card. Only set 1 to main event and championship match.

@@theprowrestlingshoot The feature in the game, you just can not select it when doing custom match setting. Very odd to have it but not be able to select it at any time. IT was also in last two games and still they never fixed it.

I honestly haven't tried it. But based on tons of feedback, I doubt it.

@@theprowrestlingshoot that's a shame such potential to create a great universe, wish they spent less time in my faction (which doesn't interest me plus a cash grab) and more time perfecting Universe Mode.

It's not broken. Unfortunately, they made those rivalry actions within the mode. You have to MANUALLY select that option. Which I can't stand. I'd like my universe to flow naturally, and unfortunately, it just doesn't work that way anymore.

If it works for you, do it! That's really all that matters. This is just a method I've done for years and runs smoothly. There really is no "right way" or "wrong way" to do it as long as it's working for you the way you like.

Try this out. Rivalry and cuts scenes should all work fine. Other than that. It's still the universe mode we always get unfortunately.

I went back and looked at the video again. I see a few specific examples in the second half of the video. Early on I heard a lot of "broken", "issues", "run better", "run smoother" etc. . The entire time I'm thinking "what is he referring to? Is it something that is going on with my game"? It wasn't very clear for me.

@forehandchief23 Rivalry doesn't work properly. PLE Pay Offs don't work properly. Many other things can break as well. I show a system that runs fairly smooth with minimal issues. It's not going to completely make universe the mode of modes, but it will fix some broken things within it.
