Zagreb experienced a 6. something earthquake a few years back which cased a bit of damage. This is the reason there is so much construction and why a lot of the older buildings are closed. I was there last year and did some tours too and was surprised that they never mentioned this even though many were wondering why there was so much repair work going on. Almost like they didn't want anyone to know like it might scare potential visitors or something.

I loved Zagreb. The city is an amazingly wonderful city to walk through. The Museum of Broken Relationships was great!

We absolutely loved Zagreb when we visited during the summer! It was 6 years ago before we had a KZfaq channel, but we still loved it. It was so nice to visit a city that wasn't packed with tourists, like Dubrovnik, and the terraces everywhere made Zagreb really come alive! The Museum of Broken Relationships exceeded expectations too!

I've been meaning to comment for a bit, but this video you guys did it. Letting us know what languages are commonly spoken other than the native language is very useful. Between my wife and I, we have English, Spanish, and Arabic covered but outside of that it's usually just crash course on some basic tourist phrases and go.

I love your videos but Zagreb probably the worst city in the EU. Rundown still looks like a Stalin and Tito ghost never left. Not much to see except abandoned and decrepit buildings. Upper town not much going on, except a few nice buildings. Most of the restaurants in upper town are for tourists serving Pizza and burgers and l of strukli and Ćevapi. Not worth the drive the the countryside lots of abandoned villages. Stick to the coast.
