Yes indeed Aaja Tujhko pukare mere Geet was one of the greatest and most melodious songs that only and only the great Rafi sahib could have sung. Despite that Kalyanji bhai lacked the fairness and graciousness to acknowledge Rafi sahib as the greatest playback singer is really sad

You need to enhance your knowledge before commenting and should know that some of the most popular songs of any singer whether Rafi, Mukesh, Manna Dey, Mahendra Kapoor, Hemant Kumar, Asha Bhosle even later Kumar Shanu, Alka Yagnik composed by KA. They gave chance to all singers. Why should there be monopoly of only one singer even if he is the best when there are other equally good. You should be thankful to KA they used Mukesh best way after SJ and same with KK. As regards, Rafi sahab, KA gave them some of the most melodious songs solo and duets like Samrat Chandragupta, JJPK, Haseena man jayegi, Maryada, Sachha Jhootha, haath ki Safai etc. Their compositions were more suited to Mukeshji or KK. Kalyanji Anandji songs like kashme vade Pyar Wafa, Yari hai Iman with Manna Dey, Mere Desh ki Dharti, Bharat ka rehne wala hoon are these ordinary songs for you. In fact Rafi Saheb had the support from all big MDs and producers through out 1950's and 1960's but other singers were not so lucky. So, in a sense KA supported them also.

What a thing to say about Rafi Saab. Who would have brought out the required emotions and pain in Kalyanji Anandji 's composition in Jab Jab Phool Khile, 'Yahaan main ajnabi hoon' or the madti, ecstasy and joy in 'Affo Khuda' from the same film? Sad to hear this comment from Kalyanji bhai. Makes no sense. Rafi Saab would start his shows abroad with KA' song, ' Bade door se aaye hain' That was Rafi Saab. The best. The greatest.

Kalyanji Anandji+ Mohd Rafi sahab ke anmol geet even after LP formed own pair 1. Hassena Man Jayegi- all songs 2. Akele hai chale aai 3 All Raja Sahab all songs 4 amne saamne solo and duet 5 Gopi 6 Rakawala 7 kab kyon aur jaga 8. Choti Bahu 9. Saccha Jhutha 10 janzeer duet 11 Heera duet 12 Maryada 13. Haath ki safai 14 Agni Rekha 16 Bairaag 17. Adalat for AB Any many more. It shows KA never avoided Rafi Saab but used according to the hero in the movie and producers demand. 1970's was dominated by LP and, RDB then KA who were never in a position to dictate their terms to the producers .They got mostly action packed movies with action heros and KK and Bengal lobby ruled Bollywood. Every producer director was taking KK over Rafi saab. As a trend of the Bollywood, after Aaradhana KK and RDB formed a fomidable force so why to blame KA every MD wax taking KK. But in case of KA their choice of Mukesh in 1960's was quite fruitful and perfectly all right but in 1970's instead of Mahendra Kapoor they could have used Rafi saab that has changed their profile

No singer had underestimated Rafi Sahab and were well aware of his merits but some other reasons caused these issues. LP were assistant to KA and many times during rehearsal KA were not present but his assistants used to be there and there was frequent contacts with the assistants. Rafi Sahab was of good nature so if any assistant happened to ask him that he too wants to start as a new independent composer and whether Rafi Sahab will help them in singing for their composition, Rafi Sahab always used to encourage them. When LP started their first film Chaila Babu and requested Rafi Sahab to sing but could not afford his fees, Rafi Sahab returned all the money offered by LP back to them. LP was well established then as Parasmani also followed immediately after that but released before Chaila babu. Similar inspiration was given to Sonic Omi who too were assistants to KA. So KA thought this as a breach (knowingly or innocently) and started keeping Rafi Sahab away and giving preference to other singers. The incident quoted above was just one reason and not the only reason. This also happened for O P Nayyar when composer Farooq Kaisar who was assistant to OPN was encouraged and became independent composer from film Shikari 1963 & later Namsate ji. OPN had ensured that no record of Namaste ji is available in the market and blocked popularity. Later when Rafi Sahab was late in recording since he was stuck up at Shankar Jaykishan and told truth to OPN, that just triggered OPN to choose Mahendra Kapoor as OPN was in stiff competition with SJ. Every one had his own reasons for their own gains but no one sidelined Rafi Sahab on his singing ability and competence.

Chalia ka poster is wrong !! Kalyan Ji Anand Ji gave lot of songs to Rafi till 1970. But their favorite singer seems to be Mukesh. However after 1970s their style was Western and again it suited Kishore more..However there were certain songs where they thought Rafi will suit best. For example the song towards the end of Muqaddar Ka Sikandar !!

Really beautiful and melodious compositions of kalyanji Anand ji, but that is because of voice given legendary singers as you told. That era was such that when these music composers like Shankar Jai kishan, Naushad, Ravi, Laxmikant pyarelal, Great Madan mohan, those stalwart composers thought to be greater than the great on each other, could given best songs to movie lovers. Kalyanji Anandji cannot be found fault with as he got other singer sung for him not to become pre cast. Manna Da UPKAR's KAS ME VADE was master piece. Despite their great work FilmFare hardly recognised them.

रफ़ी साहब के प्रति संगीतकारों का दुर्भावना का व्यवहार उचित नहीं लगता क्योंकि उस दौर के सभी गायक उच्च श्रेणी के और अपनी अपनी खूबियों के मालिक थे ।अतः संगीतकार उनकी खूबियों के हिसाब से गायकों का चयन करते थे।
