Isabella I of Castile, called ''Isabella the Catholic'', in Castilian: Isabel I de Castilla or la Católica; (Madrigal de las Altas Torres, 22 April 1451 - Medina del Campo, 26 November 1504), was queen of Castile and León from 1474 to 1504.
She was also Queen consort of Aragon, Sicily, Valencia, Sardinia, Majorca and holder of Corsica, countess consort of Barcelona and the Catalan counties from 1479 to 1504.
Ferdinand of Trastàmara, known as Ferdinand the Catholic (Fernando or Fernán in Spanish, Fernando or Fernán also in Asturian, Aragonese and Basque) was king of Sicily from 1468 to 1516 as Ferdinand II; king consort of Castile from 1474 to 1504 as Ferdinand V; king of Aragon, Valencia, Sardinia, Majorca and titular of Corsica, count of Barcelona and the Catalan counties from 1479 to 1516 as Ferdinand II;
He became king of Naples as Ferdinand III from 1504 to 1516; regent of Castile from 1507 to 1516 and king of Upper Navarre from 1512 to 1516.
They were known as Catholic Monarchs (Los Reyes Católicos in spanish)

Since 1516 they rest together in their monumental tomb in Granada.
