10 жыл бұрынIsabelle Unicorn (performed by Wolfgem) absolutely wowed the crowd at the Biggest Little Fur Con 2014 Fursuit Dance Competition, performing in a QUADSUIT - this is the first time I've ever seen anything like this, and the story of Wolfgem's full recovery after the tragedy that happened a year and a half ago makes it even more amazing. This incredible costume was made by Beastcub Creations, who also made version 2.0 and 3.0 of my Kijani fursuit.
The talent level this year was through the roof, especially for a 2nd year con! 23 finalists lit up the dance floor with a unique mix of performances and dance styles.

People who are saying that she didn’t really dance that good, obviously don’t understand that just learning to walk alone in quadsuits is an extremely difficult feat, let alone dance on beat to a fast-paced pop song!

@@dartthenightlight3840 Several years ago, she, her boyfriend and her four dogs were walking in their neighborhood. Crossing a street, they were slammed into by a drunk driver going 70+. All four dogs were instantly killed, the boyfriend shielded her from most of the impact but still her leg was badly messed up (among other injuries), and the boyfriend eventually died from his. It was absolutely awful, and I am always amazed at how she managed to get herself back together after all that.

Seems fun to me, and seriously how to furries get the label as sexualizing animals? I’m pretty sure people confuse them with zoophiles or something... and anyways every fandom has it’s darker sides I’ve seen worse things in different fandoms but does that mean everyone in the fandom is bad? No! I guess it’s weirder to people since they’re animals?? I don’t know

Pretty sure that they get labeled as sexualizing animals because they're sometimes drawn sexually and furries are anthropomorphic animals... Righ? I mean they're not animals but a human version of them and drawing them sexually gives people the wrong idea-- idk. I love furry drawings, sexual or not, so I really don't know the deal.

tthe fact that the person is on stilts AND bent over AND dancing makes this whole thing so amazing. the effort they put into this is amazing and im so proud of them. im not a furry myself but i can a[[riciate the effort they put into making the costume and coragraphing to make sure nothing goes wrong. amazing job!!!

I'm not a furry fan but damn, that suit looks amazing, I've seen quad suits and I'm amazed at how people can not hurt their back or arms after walking around in them.

+MoonMoonFang Oh it does hurt; I know someone who did a quad suit. They can't be on all fours very long, because it strains the back more than being on hands and knees. But if they're careful, don't make the front legs too heavy, and have a good spotter who keeps people from jumping on them and stuff, they do fine.

I really don't know why some people just hate furries. I mean yeah some of them are pretty ummm.............. Exotic??? Anyway furries make beautiful suits that are hard to make. And for the people that say they can make a quadsuit easily, you obviously have no idea what you are getting into. It takes months to complete. And not to mention is very hard to control and you need to be very strong. I know some of the fandom are just complete assholes but that doesn't mean you have to take it out on the nice ones.

I understand not really liking the um...intimate parts of the furry fandom. Not the cuddly cute type of person myself... But you are most certainly right. I can truly admire the hard work that these cosplayers put into their costumes, especially in a quadsuit of all things! And this one is just absolutely amazing! I can imagine it must have taken time to create as well as to choreograph and practice moving in it.

@@loser6972 It's a quad suit. The front legs are on low stilts (that's where the joint is). Beastcub has made several quad suits, and this is her most famous. I think she has videos on how she makes quad suits on her youtube channel.

What's even more amazing is what Wolfgem went through. She was crossing the street when she was hit by a speeding (drunk?) driver several years ago. Impact killed her boyfriend and all four of her dogs. She was badly hurt, but look at the recovery she made.

I'm not a furry, but saw quadsuits mentioned on Instagram and had to Google to find out what that was. So glad I did! The artistry on display here is really incredible! The suit is just beautiful, I've never seen anything like it! And the performer has an asrounding amount of skill, coordination and stamina to be able to dance and move like that in such a complicated position. I love how friendly and supportive the audience is too! This was so fun to watch and it seems like a really cool community ❤️

I have to say this actually got me to cry. Cause I heard of WolfGem's story and of her injuries. One would think that no one would be able to dance with the type of injuries she had gotten and to do it in a Quadsuit? But then again. She proved to keep wearing her quadsuits and now this. I have to say. She did a wonderful job! Even if she didn't win. The fact that some did this was amazing all in itself.

WALKING in a quadsuit is stupid hard, for the longest time when I started, I ended up keeping too much weight on my legs, my hand stilts slipped because of the awkward angle and I fell flat so many times due to loss of balance. I can't even IMAGINE the practice it took to dance this well in one. Ill stick with bipeds. lol

Comments yes. Though half of the comments are from actual furries who are intrigued by the first quad suit to ever take part in a convention's dance competition. Wearing a quad suit like the unicorn is not easy, let alone dancing in one. Especially for someone that was in a bad accident involving a drunk driver a year and a half ago where her boyfriend was killed.

Cat Thoyts you have NO idea just how hot it gets lol, I did a fursuit parade at one of the cons, and in just that short amount of time, I nearly passed out. And its not even in a full suit (I wear just a head and hands and tail) or a quad suit like this. Its BAD. But we do it for the love of it. And I will admit, seeing people smile while in costume, makes me so happy!

+Catherine Cane Ohhh boy, it does get REALLY hot in those suits, especially the head. Someone in the fandom actually recorded the temperature as well, and I actually had to listen to the answer twice because I thought I heard it wrong the first time: It can get up to 100 to 115 degrees Celsius. X_X That's why direct sunlight/heat and prolonged periods of time spent inside a fursuit is not good for you. Of course some of the more expensive fursuits do have ventilation devices in them, fans, heat exchange or just a thin covering at least, which does help.

there is one person in the suit its just the golden looking bands on her legs are where the stilts are placed. above them are where his/her arms are. below are handles where he/she grabs the stilts and moves them just like in the video. nobody could ever do that with two people. the legs went up so if there where to people the human would be sent flying and in the back legs it would be the same for the other human so there is only one.

Saxtree Lion dance is done by two people usually, the front leg can go up when the one on the back hug the guy on the front and raise it into mid air. However, lion dance suit is way different from this, and yeah, it's not really possible to send back legs up that high, at least not what I"ve seen before. Just wanna point out that 2-people suit is plausible even though it's not the case here.
