I think he's super underrated. USC was a mess in terms of coaching and organization this year. Dude is a linebacker who gets to the rim at will. Most of the taller wings have no chance of guarding him because their center of gravity is too high. He'll have to improve his shooting but his floor from day 1 is someone who can defend and get two feet in the paint with ease. Way too valuable to pass on imo.

He 100% fits what the Pels need at the point. I can see him dishing to Trey, or feeding Zion. Then playing D with Herb. Pels need a floor general like him. He drives like Ja or SGA.

Okay, absorbs contact with a bevy of different ways to finish at the rim, knows how to slow the pace and box out with his body on PNR and has a workable jump shot. Seen enough, best player in the class.

The dynamic pairing of him & Wemby would be electric but Spurs FO are snobs and pick the esoteric player instead

Vassell?

@@Sal-uy6cq An inefficient volume scorer who struggles to create or facilitate for team mates. His numbers are inflated due to being the distant second best offensive talent on a bad team. He's also an average athlete @ 6'5 that plays average defence in a league where long, agile wings are a necessity. For where the spurs want to reach with Wemby, Vassell's ceiling can be your third offensive option or a spark off the bench on a reasonable contract if they choose to re-sign.

I see a lot of Spurs fans shilling the idea that Topic (a prospect with questionable shooting and underwhelming defence) is the point guard of the future so there's definitely something to the "snobbish" bias towards foreign born players. I think Collier would add more to the team immediately with his size, athleticism and defensive prowess where Nicola Topic is both a project and a gamble.

Solid player with a high ceiling but lacks the feel to ever be something special. Ultimately seems like a solid piece but not one to build around Like Colin Sexton.

I feel like the best value in this years draft is in the mid-late first round. The team that likely picks him outside of the lottery is getting a big physical guard with serviceable playmaking and could be a Marcus Smart level defender. I'd love to see him in San Antonio.

@@dillamadukes21 I agree that in terms of value that’s the best spot to be in. Wouldn’t mind selecting Collier around there. Not sure he ever becomes that level of defender. Effort isn’t there and he’s been a negative this season defensively. I think a Jaden Ivey / Colin Sexton mold of player is his outcome. Not a huge fan of guys who I don’t ever see being a 1-2 option offensively Who also can’t play off the ball effectively.

@@jordandaher9652 "Not a huge fan of guys who I don’t ever see being a 1-2 option offensively" That's the nature of this draft class. Most teams should be drafting to flesh out their bench instead of hoping to draft future starters. It's been amazing to see so many mocks with guys who will be great role players going top 3. Very weak class.

@@dillamadukes21 I agree I think this class is just about getting depth and glue guys ( for the most part ). If your drafting collier after the lottery to be a 6 man who score the ball I think that’s great. Just wouldn’t want my team drafting him in the top 10 and hoping he becomes a star type thing. One of those guys where the Numbers are way better then his actual impact kind of guys.
