This is so beautiful. My daughter is a 💜 and T1D patient. She was born with 5 ❤defects and became a T1D the week of her 4th bday, 8 months after open heart surgery. It's all has been extremely scary and traumatic. No one knew about her heart issues until the car was being packed for us to go home. We had been in the hospital with her for 2 days and we didn't know anything. When she was born they said she had a ❤ murmur but that they clear up soon after birth. So when we were leaving they said they were going to check up on it and make sure it was gone and they'd bring her back and we could leave. About 30 min after they took her I noticed a helicopter land right outside my hospital window. About 15 min later she still wasn't back so I said I was going to go see what was taking so long. As I was walking that direction a nurse was walking towards me she said she was being life flighted to the children's hospital an hour n half away, that something was wrong but she didn't explain anything. She said they'd talk to us there. I got to see her for a few min before the 🚁 was going to leave and they said I couldn't ride with as the 🚁 was going to be at capacity with nurses and crew. We left the hospital at the same time. I got to the children's hospital 15 min after they arrived. They knew I must have flown also to get there. Then they explained everything. 😢. That was the scariest day of my life, next to surgery days. She's had many procedures, tests and a heart procedureand a open heart surgery. The surgery was supposed to fix her heart but when the Dr came out they said the one hole was a lot of holes. So they had to change the procedure and it was permanent. They said as she gets older...about mid to late 20s.. she will eventually need a heart transplant. She'll be 16yo in November. As the yrs go by it gets more scary. (There was a little girl on her dad's side of the family born with half a heart. She went I to open heart surgery as soon as she was born. She was put on the list that day. She was 11yo when she passed. A heart never came.) My daughter isn't on the list because it isn't a dire need right now. Already having lost a child in the family because a heart didn't come for 11yrs, you can understand why I'm worried she isn't on one yet. I do understand that there are other children who need them now... I just hope when the time comes one makes it in time. 😢 with that being said.... my daughter is doing great right now. You wouldn't know anything was wrong looking at her. We have been thru so much... spending so much time on the Peds heart floor I know I am so unbelievably lucky! I watched so many parents leave the hospital without their children. The screams from the moms I will never forget. I pray for them daily. R.I.P to Lily. This was so beautiful to see them get to share that special moment with her before she passed.

I cried and my heart was broken when I saw Lily smile. I work for pediatric hospital but I am never ready when seeing little cancer patients. Those angels are brave and beautiful...

Okay, I cried! I worked with a student that had cancer. She was left blind and for 4 years in high school I had the privilege of being her child specific aide. Despite all of her challenges with multiple hospitalizations during that time. She continued to complete high school with on time and passed all exit exams. So proud of her. So gladly Lily and family were able to attend the concert. I’m certain they will have many fond memories. Blessings and prayers for Lily and her family.

I cried instantly when the mom was showing her all the lights and dad's reaction. Lily is a beautiful little girl. My thoughts and prayers go out to Lily and her family. God bless.❤

I am so sorry Lily lost her battle with cancer. She was Blessed to have such loving and caring Parents. Lily was very precious and I know she loved meeting JVKE.

this broke me. i lost my mom to cancer in feb. cancer is the worst thing someone could go through, i wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. rest in peace

I literally have been so miserable with how difficult life has been these last few years then you see something like this and realize how blessed and fortunate you really are. Man, the pain in that father's eyes hurts. Rip little angel and look over your parents.

I’m right there with you. Life been so rough I almost ended it all a few times this year. I was robbed of all my possessions and life savings. Big group of crazy thugs almost killed me in my home, and took everything i owned and worked years and years for. Stole everthing from my very sentimental watches to literally all my shoes and clothes I held onto since 2008. Priceless stuff. Then took my wallet passport IDs and amlost every dollar I had. At 30 years old I’m left with nothing at all but my dog. Lost my home bc I couldn’t stay there. Suffer from severe ptsd. Balrey come outside bc I never feel safe and trust anyone. I gave up on everything I had going for me. Literally countless hours of working 7 days a week all gone. Watching these videos on an old iPhone is all i have. I used to help others out when I could since I saved up good money to my standard. Now I have nothing and no help. No one really cares. Police don’t care to do anything really. And ppl i used to help out must have been so used to it that now I can’t help them make money they just left me at my lowest. Some days I still just want to end it all. I’m a worthless bum now
