Brake Noise is there because the Control Unit is trying to hold down the speed when there is too much power surges at slower rpm and speed, so its activating the brakes to control that.

my skoda slavia 1.5 dsg automatic gives 9-10 in dehradun city(hometown) and 12-13 in noida(job city) and mileage increases by 2-3kmpl if ac is turned off.. on highways if you drive at around 100-110 .. mileage is 19 and if you drive 75-85 mileage increases to 23-24.. if you drive without rush.. it mostly runs on 2 cylinder mode in city..

Being a Rapid TSI 1.0 AT user, I have driven it for 60,000kms till date .I got fuel economy of 8-13 kmpl overall including highway and city drives.Recently I installed stag 400 dpi cng kit in it and it's still performing like a rocket with no lags at all and with a fuel economy of nearly 22-28 km/kg.It consumes 10% petrol as well but still I'm really satisfied with this CNG fitment. You may ask why I prefered Skoda if I was interested with CNG, but trust me with CNG it still performs excellent and becomes more economic as well. (the cng kit costs me nearly around 1 lakhs)
