2 x 4 GB DDR3, because in that case, you will get dual channel which performs about 15-20% better than a single 8 GB stick. 2*4 GB = 8 GB dual channel RAM is enough for your daily use cases or even light gaming. I have a pc with mostly similar specs like you (i5-3330s and 2*4gb ram, gtx 1050ti) in that I play many modern AAA title games in low-midium settings, it performs really well with 60+ fps in most games.
