Ischia is one of our favorite places! We've been twice for a week each time and love discovering the different sides of the island. Capri is beautiful and but Ischia is the perfect balance of raw and nice for visitors.

Thank you! If you go for one day only we would definitely suggest you to arrive in Ischia Porto and visit the Aragonese Castle: it was the highlight of the island in our opinion 😉

D'accordo! While Capri is beautiful, we also prefer Ischia for all the reasons you said. We go May/June or Sept/Oct because the weather is still good but not as many tourists. We rent a scooter because it's so much easier to get around compared to a car. You can also make day trips to Procida and the Amalfi Coast.

Great pieces of advice, grazie mille! I booked a hotel now in Ischia in two weeks time. However, there seem to be some rainy days ahead which would not be that nice. Let's hope for the best on this beautiful island:)

Agreed! Procida is also great but as it's a bit small we'd recommend it for a 1/2 day trip. Thank you for your opinion 😉

"Three euro pizza" got my attention 😄 The people I'd be traveling with love beaches, I like the woods. Anywhere you could recommend with great beaches but I could take some time to see the woods for a few days?

Hi, yes from what I read too SPAs should open in mid-April. But you can go to Sorgeto Bay that is actually a beach-SPA, it's free and is always open!

Hi, we don't usually recommend hotels or restaurant, I can tell you the best towns to sleep in in my opinion: - Forio - Ischia Porto - Ischia Castello ¡Muchos besos de Italia!

Why not visit both? I visited Ischia as a child, and Capri as an adult, I was born in Naples, I now live in Canada, I visited Capri in 2019 and let me tell you, you cannot not visit Capri they are two beautiful Islands, both are beautiful in their own way, I am returning to Naples in 2023 God willing and I will re-visit both Islands!!! p.s. If you cannot visit both but your goal is views that take your breath away, Capri is the one!!!

Hi! Yes, there are different bus routes connecting the towns of the island. Probably the best connected town where you'll find more buses is Ischia Porto, so that's where I suggest you to find an accommodation 😉

@@yaronsela2469 to tell you the truth, it is a bit of a disadvantage because it's not a big island so buses are not so frequent as in a big city. But that depends how you like to travel, if you like to take it slow no problem 😉

Procida is great too! It's a bit too small that's why we preferred Ischia 😊 However we would definitely suggest it as a one-day trip from Ischia 😉
