Since you all got my last video to 100 likes, here is my list of a few Isekai that are genuinely good (in my opinion)
This list was fun to make as I very much enjoyed these anime and 2 of them are in my all time top 10 list!

Rezero is cancer I'd rather crap out razor wire than watch that plot looping bs that happens way to facking much, The main plot of the show is nowhere to be found the save points are unexplained every time someone dies you just know it's gonna loop again causing all that progression and character development to get flushed down the toilet, I give the show a 2/10 wouldn't recommend unless you're into that kind of thing

for me, the best isekai is mushoku tensei, especially the light novel (plus the ln is already completed)

yup mushoku tensei is the best of the best. re zero is also just as good but i havent red the Ln so i cant compare it to mushoku (i finished it)

In Japan they call these series the 4 horsemen of anime. They are the top most popular series. They also have one of the best light novels.

@@omegaalpha8380 Those four are like Demon Slayer, One Piece, Dragon Ball Z, Jujutsu Kaisen in America. Light Novels wise is a mixed bag. Overlord is considered the “Game of Thrones” in Japan. Re:Zero is tied in sales with Reincarnated As a Slime. Konosuba is all over the place because the spinoff series sell better and create tons of fan fiction. There are 20 total spinoff series created by the original author but currently only 8 are being translated. Youjo Senki has an interesting cult following. It keeps getting more popular when it gets translated to a new language. In the anti religion groups that like anime it has become a favorite. However one of the best written Light Novels series I have read is Ascendance of a Bookworm. It has 32 books in the original series and I do mean light novels.

This list is actually from the highest budget isekai. Therd are plenty awesome masterpieces with low budget, like My unique skill is lvl 1, dungeon isekai The great cleric, dungeon isekai Reincarnated as a sword Reincarnated as an assassin .. as an aristocrat Ascendance of a bookworm, isekai

I love re zero so much lol. I just found out about it in march, and I binged watch the entire 2 seasons a bit under 2 days lol. There was just something about watching it that made me feel connected to it on a personal and deeper level. First time a show has ever done that to me and got me addicted to watching it. Re zero is also one of the few anime that I started to watch this year(the other was konosuba). The only anime’s that I have watched ever are some old ones that I watched as a kid( I think it was ponyo and stuff created by that studio)

that's not quite the plot of overlord he didn't get trapped in his game he and the rest of the tomb got transported to another world with the same mechanics as his game and he isn't really trying to escape it his ultimate goal is to find if there are any other players like him transported

In my personal opinion my favourite isekai is drifters. Basically, it’s if legendary warlords, warriors, politicians, etc were teleported to another world rather than just dying in their historically accurate place and time. And it’s all real people like Adolf hitler, jeanne d’arc, raputin, etc. Basically, shit gets scary, and I don’t mean for the isekai’d.

@@Akumalair as an isekai it’s definitely a top tier It starts pretty generic just like mushoku tensie till volume 4(because it was inspired by mushoku tensie) But my god after volume 4 the story just keeps getting better and better and goes darker

My favorite isekai is Sword Art Online Abridged because when I heard about sao I thought this is a show about everything I like swords, games, trench coats so on and so forth, then I hated it sao abridged unironically tells a better story than the original and has better developed than the original while parodying how bad of a game sao would be in reality

TOTALLY agree about Tsukimichi & Re Monster! I do really love Overlord, tho. And Reincarnated as a Slime will always be in my favorites. There are SO many isekai I enjoy, and some have great first seasons; but many also got crummy when they made additional seasons… 😂

Overlord would be better if it was just the story of a lich who woke up after being asleep for ages and not really remembering his identity or life and only having various minions he created. The being a herbivore weeb loser adds nothing but problems and makes the show overall worse. Also, just a bit less fan service would have massively improved it.

not at all. the world itself is as bad as he is. Nobility was just like that at its time, and rudeus is nobility after all. there are way worse people than him. And he does not remain the neet he was in his other life. after season 2 he is a way better and respectable person. The point of the series is literally following his journey and becoming a better person

I understand if you don't want to make content around it because it has controversial topics. mushoku tensei is on par with Re-Zero in my opinion. Edit.. watching Re-Zero and Michelle who tensee makes kazuma from konosuba more likable

I think they did the issekai trope well. If you've read the LN, the entire trajectory of that universe changed as soon as Rudeus was born.
