@@stonehorn4641 There is actually a pretty massive community, although it doesn't look like it from not having that much youtube content. If you live relatively close to a big city or town, just ask at your local game store or games workshop store and they can probably tell you how to join the local group.

Love this game. Really accessible with model counts and the big spread of points sizes that get played competitively from 500 to 800pts I've seen. Lots of character and personality and a ton of variety.

Mesbg is quite simply the best game games workshop make. There's a really good dedicated group of content creators for the game (ourselves included) if anyone's looking for more content. Just happy to see more of the larger channels representing the game :)

Yes! I would love to see more MESBG content on a regular basis! I think it's the best ruleset GW has ever produced! I would also love some kill team and specialist games like inquisitor for the future if it is doable of course. Best regards from Italy

I hear you! Im Canadian, but I wanted to play in the Las Vegas Open, and had to cancel due to new restrictions. So san about it. Hope you get over here! The area MWG in is absolutely beautiful, you'll enjoy it greatly!

I really like how you used the trees on the citadel woods, really nice touch. Also stoked to see some middle earth! The games turn is so different from 40k and AOS, it’s great to see. Keep it up!

WooT! Locally we have been playing MESBG for the last 3 years ongoing pretty much solid. Battle companies, Tournaments and just fun! Keep it up!.

Rules notice for you: Only 1 spear can support a Frontline fighter except for pikes, they can support two deep but only if they are both pikes. Pikes can't support Spears. Heroic actions need to be declared at the beginning of the phase. Heroic strike from lurtz on the captain needed to have been declared at start of combat phase and then the dwarf captain can choose to do a heroic also or not.

Also Dain and captain never use "battle master" that allow them to do the same heroic action on +4 or +5 :/

really cool game. great to see some mesbg :). two small remarks 1: at 50:00, you can only strike against models that are in direct base contact during the fight. So the dwarf could not strike against the pike. 2: you can only use might on the dices of the unit with might. So you need different dices for those units.

Just so you know luka its not a big deal since its your first time back to the game. Heroics are called at the start of combat so the heroic strikes should be declared when the fight faze starts now when you get to the fight and you can only call one heroic per faze so Dain could not call a Strength and a Strike the same combat faze. Great to see my favorite game on my favorite channel

Great battle report! Love MESBG! It was one of your battle reports from a couple of years ago that got me into the game in the first place. One recommendation: roll the heroes’ attacks/strikes on different dice so you can spend might to increase them (since they can only increase their own rolls). It certainly comes in handy for dealing with those high-defense beardy bois.

Recently got into this and enjoying it more than AoS. For me it feels like models have more character when playing and are not just blocks. Nice to see it back on the channel, I guess you did it for me it seems haha, good timing. I hope there is plenty more to come.

I had built up quite a large KZfaq backlog over the holidays and man I was so happy to see an MESBG batrep from you guys! It's the game that got me into the hobby and while I never ended up painting much or playing anything, I got back into the hobby last year and finally finished my first proper army! Now all I need is some of the updated books and a second army so I can pester my friends about it until they'll play a game with me. Either way, glad to see the game get some more attention on the channel, hoping there's more to come!

19:07 A model can only gain Support from one spear-armed model at a time, and a spear-armed model may only Support a single model during each turn. A spear- armed model can even Support a friendly model that is Prone or armed with a two-handed weapon.

@@Fire123Dude The "only being able to support one model per turn" part does apply to pikes. At this point, some models were paired off for combat, and after their own combat were moved to pair off a second time in fights they weren't part of. Spears and pikes both fought too many times at the time stamp ratz30 is talking about. Edit: They caught their mistake. I replied here before getting that far. I should be a little more patient.

What's so fun about LotR is the heroic opportunities! Every single model in your army feels relevant. Often more storytelling opportunities than Warhammer

Wow I was pleasantly surprised, never played, or liked, the Lord of the Rings games but this was very interesting. It is such a breath of fresh air with a bit of realistic low fantasy in contrast to AoS where everything is a flying deathmachine with 18 arms. Would love a video explaining the core rules, seems very down to earth and no clear winner can be decided early.
