It is great to see a very faithful restoration. Usually you'll see things that aren't historically correct even on nice ones but this is a cut above.

BMW muss die Isetta unbedingt wieder ins leben rufen Smart würde zu Grunde gehen wenn der einstiegspreis an der 10.000€ Grenze wäre.

Meine Wünsche wurden erhört irgendwann die nächsten 2 Jahre wird die Isetta neu aufgelegt. Sieht scharf aus aber, unter 16000€ wird die glaube ich nicht liegen. Zusätzlich wurde diesen Frühling von einer Schweizer firma ein Elektroauto vorgestellt basierend auf der Original Karosserrie (natürlich wegen dem Gewicht neuerseits aus Kunststoff).

But they'd be getting better gas mileage :) They were built with horrendous gas prices in mind ... and to be honest, I'd rather people drive these instead of having millions of morons being the sole passengers in huge trucks, clogging up streets and parking spaces. They're a bit of a deathtrap in accidents, I'd admit ;)

Raging Goblin No one needs a muscle car...but _this._ No way. 6 cylinder is more then enough, maybe even a 4. What are these 2?

Depends on when and by whom they were built .. the original Italian Isetta had a 2-stroke split-single (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Split-single) .. the one built by BMW had a 250cc single 4-stroke (a former motorcycle engine, I think). Not sure about other variants.

6 cylinders are really not necessary, unless in heavy-duty (i.e. Diesel) or performance vehicles. FWIW, Gumpert squeezed north of 400hp out of 4 cylinders (admittedly, at a price). For most commuters, a hatchback is more than enough.. and those that think they're too wimpy, have never driven a finely tuned Golf GTI and taken it into a corner :)
