I went back and watched their episode. What’s interesting is that one of the first questions he asks her was “what’s more important personality or money?” and she struggled to answer but eventually said personality. That alone really explained what went wrong here. And he did say “if the personality is there the bag is there”. They BOTH need to be honest. She needs to just say I’m 34 and need someone who can provide for me financially and he needs to say I’m not in a place where I can provide for you financially. Therefore this won’t work. It’s that simple.

I love her! She was so mature and told her story without trying to embarrass him, but he basically made her tell the play by play. He seems so bitter. He sold a dream that he couldn’t uphold basically. Him not being able to afford a date wasn’t the problem. Him not being able to afford the date that he sold her on was the problem, and it doesn’t make her a gold digger to expect him to do what he said he would do. She stayed respectful to the very end. He was pressed for sure!

I like movie dates! There’s a super cute theater near me in the downtown area, so the walk to even get there from the parking lot is down this cute little cobblestone street with good people watching because of all the little shops and stuff… Imo, the *correct way to go to the movies is by arriving 30min early and grabbing a drink (coffee for me cuz I’m sober, but most people like an adult bev). Then you share a popcorn together so your hands touch lol 😆 *AND you have to sneaky sneak shnax in… I like gas station or dollar tree treats, but next level is definitely subs 😈 that requires coordination though, because your girl needs to bring a purse. and after the movie you go home! Ideally, there’s some lingering and puppy-eyes and you get butterflies excited about the 2nd or 3rd date!

Going to the movies on the first date is crazy. 😢 it’s super casual and IMO that’s a kind of date you go on after having gotten to know someone for some time. Coffee shops, picnics, rooftops, restaurants are all other alternatives to FORMALLY get to know someone. His demeanor, anger, and hostility in her even expressing how the date was for her is a major red flag. It’s one thing to be frustrated but to be disrespectful when she only answered a question she was asked is not okay.
